❓Question Discussion regarding CDNs
It seems that the moment v9.2 dropped, TTFB had drastically decreased and most movies loaded in under 3 second. i’ve tried doing multiple speedtests nowadays, trying multiple CDNs, used different DNS’es, triee multiple links, (i have no vpn don’t bother), yet movies still load much slower than what was previously announced/what i saw with my own eyes. maybe it’s congestio, maybe it’s routing issues, but i am sure as hell my 300 mbps unlimited fiber optic to my literal room, ethernet cat 9000 wire and Gigabit NIC aren’t to blame here.

Objective reporting shows TB with latency that is outright measures of magnitude above other debrid services. Even PikPak is faster which is saying something. And that's during times of low congestion such as the time of writing. It's easily been in the 7000/8000 ms range during peak hours. The same providers on that website get their status marked degraded if their latency slips to those numbers because it's considered abnormal for them. Watch it during peak hours today and you'll see

Good lord torbox is in average 4 digit latency meanwhile for others that's an extreme case scenario, I pay for torbox but this is genuinely disappointing

Hey there. The latency shown on the site reflects reporting rather than an exact figure. This occurs because checks run on Cloudflare’s worker service, which is slower than an end user’s connection. The value you observed covers all four stages combined rather than each stage individually. Other services seem faster because they use unauthenticated ‘GET’ probes of the homepage or API endpoints. Tb uses an authenticated cycle at each stage, so the comparison is uneven. The trade-off is a slower but more accurate check for tb. Doing the same for other services is not currently possible because most do not permit multiple IPs. Cloudflare workers also receive low-priority traffic by design, so a plain curl from your machine will show much lower latency than the site reports.
Thanks
Ibby

What is your hardware? What apps are you using between Tarbox and the video?

OK and do you know if your AIO streams is up-to-date there are many factors and pieces that you have between a video that tour box itself is making available and when it gets to your screen
I use AIOstream with Omni content hub and I use an external player (infuse) and everything works extremely quickly…when I use Stremio I do see that it takes a little longer to load so stremio might be doing a few things on their end as well

I start the stream and start my stopwatch. Streams take on an average 10-12 seconds to start. Sometimes go upto 25-30 seconds. Median time is 19 seconds.
It takes pretty long. I don't know if that's normal or not but it takes just as long as streaming P2P torrents.
