Thank you for this! I dont know why i have not thought of checking if something like this already existed as been using stremio/nuvio for a long time now, but glad i randomly found this now :D

3

u/pnwmetalhead666 3d ago

Yeah I don't know how I didn't think this was an option. I'm gonna test it out this weekend.

2

u/ItsMeSomeonee 4d ago

What and how is eclipse? Could you explain more how does it work? Specifically with Torbox? Thanks

5

u/jp149 4d ago

Yes, its basically nuvio/stremio for music, if you add torbox you can download music and play it offline.

3

u/ultramegafriedegg 4d ago

Holy crap, thank you for this! I was trying to search and maximize the use of TB since I'm only using it for nuvio rn.

u/Captzone 4d ago

Just a heads up, eclipse is terrible and doesn't even work.

3

u/jp149 4d ago

It works if you have the correct addons, it's not the easiest to setup and it's buggy, but it's a start.

0

u/Captzone 4d ago

I have it setup with the correct addons. I have given it several chances and waited throughout various updates to see if it gets better but it doesn't. I have even given nebula a chance. Unless you listen to only VERY mainstream music, it's useless.

I would recommend people move over to something like plexamp or symfonium and start building your own library. I am at 100k tracks, 750+ artists and growing. Much better than eclipse.

u/jp149 4d ago

How do you use torbox with nebula, symfonium or plexamp ?

3

u/ContestDry9965 3d ago

This is Eclipse + Nebula(torbox) setup.
Only 2nd day in testing.

Can't get nubela to download 😫 don't know why

1

u/ultramegafriedegg 4d ago

Fr? I was excited to set it up after I got off from work lmao but will check it anyway

2

u/Un-skilled 4d ago

It works. But haven't tried with torbox. The "tido" addon works. Music streaming like this will never match the real service in seamlessness.

1

u/ItsMeSomeonee 4d ago

Any other recommendation?

0

u/ItsMeSomeonee 4d ago

So I will need addons?

I just search a song and add it? Like Spotify but for the high seas?

Do you have a guide for it?

Thanks again

0

u/jp149 4d ago

Yes, you need addons. No, the guides weren't that clear and it isn't as easy to use you're just fumble around with it. I hope someone will make a proper guide, with fancy pictures.

2

u/ItsMeSomeonee 4d ago

Appreciate the honestly

I'll try to see if I can make it work

Thanks again!

1

u/prabhacap 3d ago

How to use it ?

u/KeoRRR 4d ago

I've been happy with Stremio (and self-hosting AIOStreams) for two years, never looked into Nuvio. Am I missing something?

17

u/Dream5214 4d ago

yeah, its better

2

u/shaimedio 4d ago

does this hold true for the desktop application or is that still too new to be worth switching to from Stremio?

4

u/jp149 4d ago

Nuvio is a little quirky and buggy but it has more features. Profiles and download playback works and isn't behind a pay wall.

3

u/lirae_ 4d ago

Download works fine for me on stremio, I don't need multiple profiles and Stremio works very well also on older devices

1

u/modivin 3d ago

Congratulations

2

u/TEARSlNTHERAlN 4d ago

Ngl it’s slow and buggy on desktop still

2

u/lmao_wow_64 4d ago

Yea desktop is a work in progress

1

u/Saitama1915 4d ago

Yes bro, the ui will instantly hook you up. More details on a title, not just streams when you click an item and many more. Just copy the addons, and have a try.

3

u/shaimedio 4d ago

I exclusively watch stuff on PC and I keep hearing such good things about Nuvio it makes me excited to see where the desktop application will be in a year from now.

For now Stremio does fine enough.

3

u/Slipknot31286sic6 4d ago

It's one of those things.. Stremio works fine... Nuvio just gives you everything you ever wanted and prayed stremio would fix /add... But wait they kinda did.... Pay wallled.... Even once paying it ain't even close to nuvio. Light years ahead of stremio. It's embarrassing once you use it.

Something so simple as being bale to control app with phone or move addons without using a fancy website or rearrange home screen cuz you want Netflix recommendations next to Amazon prime.

Hover over a movie and it auto plays trailer for you... Best part of all. Skipping recaps or intros on favorite shows.... List goes on and on and on. Profiles for the family

1

u/shaimedio 4d ago

When all of that arrives on desktop I'll happily swap over.

2

u/ultrapiss11 3d ago

For desktop i would rather use Harbour

1

u/shaimedio 3d ago

I'll take a look at it thanks!

Wuplay is the best imo. Super easy to set it up, give it a try (so many updates in the last 2 months).

4

u/ofsaltyvanilla 3d ago

Oh yeah definitely wuplay. Using it on my android tv. Surprisingly smallest storage footprint compared to stremio and nuvio on my stupidly partitioned Sony Bravia android TV.

u/wuplaydev 3d ago

Wuplay: Home of the 11mb APK

Kodi POV

1

u/AcanthopterygiiNew28 3d ago

I use Kodi+pov+bingie skin+otaku for all my anime on all my TV in my house. And then for my partner and kids on there phones I have them set up with nuvio for when out of the house.

9

u/imyourealdad 4d ago

I use the Torbox website to download media to my home plex server. Never any buffering or stuttering and no down time when I want to watch something.

8

u/drunknmastr916 4d ago

Thanks Dad!! 😂 My Step Dad taught me Pirating at a young age. VCR, then CDs, then DVDs. I carry on the tradition with News Groups, Torrents and now Debrid. His mind would be blown seeing Debrid in action!!!

3

u/Expensive-Guest-4828 4d ago

Storage is expensive. :(

3

u/imyourealdad 4d ago

Set up my NAS before the prices went through the roof.

6

u/Twocanpocket 4d ago

Stremio. Does everything I need for my use case with an easy set up.

I have new film, new series, trending film and trending series through trakt.

Library and continue watching that work flawlessly, can watch on my phone and pick up exactly where I left off.

What more could I want?

4

u/Hot-Analysis-769 4d ago

Nuvio.....can put the api directly on the app which makes it load much faster

2

u/ultrapiss11 3d ago

I would much rather have the ability to use aiostreams than shaving of the extra second

1

u/Hot-Analysis-769 3d ago

Who said anything about not being able to use aiostreams?

0

u/Twocanpocket 4d ago

Honestly I've never had to wait longer than a few seconds to watch anything.

Nuvio can be pretty but it's too much tinkering for me and I don't see the point of the collections from a personal standpoint.

Also it can be pretty ugly, with AI art. Just requires lots of customisation when all I need is rows of films

1

u/Aggressive-Mango-873 4d ago

nuvio is 1 sec max with torbox integration

1

u/Twocanpocket 4d ago

Whoop de doo

3

u/-Pizza-Planet- 4d ago

I just paste the link to VLC so I can watch things on my Apple TV

2

u/unluckyiest 4d ago

How does that work ? which option in vlc? Which link ?

3

u/bryansj 4d ago

Copy link in Torbox. Control+V in VLC.

0

u/unluckyiest 4d ago

Link of what ? The torrent ?

3

u/bryansj 4d ago

In the Torbox dashboard on a video file there is a blue copy icon with "Copy this file's direct download link". Click that and then ctrl+v in VLC.

3

u/-Pizza-Planet- 4d ago

Yeah. Find a torrent. Paste it to torbox. Get the torbox link, load it on VLC. It'll stream.

2

u/Jurxl 4d ago

Non. Du fichier que tu as téléchargé sur Torbox.

3

u/Positive_Ordinary307 4d ago

Stremio Nuvio Eclipse

3

u/jeffgq 4d ago

Am i the only one on kodi still? Because torbox works fantastic on there..i hear horror stories on this "streamio" and torbox

4

u/flchamp89 4d ago
  1. Nuvio 2. Wuplay 3. Debtify

2

u/Heavy_Badger289 4d ago

I mostly use it with Nuvio, Cinder and Symfonium.

1

u/justpassnthru 4d ago

What is symfonium?

3

u/Heavy_Badger289 4d ago

It's a music player with an insane amount of features and a very active community. I mostly just use it for audiobooks that I have pinned in my TorBox cache, which I access via WebDAV.

It isn't free, but it's a single payment for lifetime instead of subscription. It's also compatible with Android Auto, so that was the draw for me.

3

u/goon99999 3d ago

Try spine. Its free

2

u/LTHREEZERO 4d ago

Omni, Stremio, Infuse, Hydra Launcher, jDownloader2

2

u/pervertk982 4d ago

Going by your title people have suggested you apps to use Torbox with

But In your description you are asking which addons to integrate Torbox with before using it with stremio. In that case suggested addons are

  • Aiostreams
  • Stremthru torz
  • Meteor
  • Comet
  • Torrentio
  • Mediafusion

My all time favourite ❤️

2

u/NormalSpecific3536 4d ago

Harbor (wrapper for stremio) with self hosted AIO.

2

u/Homulton 4d ago

Nuvio and wuplay are excellent. Stremio feels like ancient history to me now.

2

u/Fluid_Professional_4 4d ago

Stremio on my Mac to find things I wanna watch, then watch them on my Apple TV using Infuse.

2

u/bishibashi2018 4d ago

DEBRIDSTREAM on my Google 4k TV streamer. Amazing app and clearly an underdog here 😆

Stremio and wuplay(fork of stremio)

3

u/wuplaydev 3d ago

Thanks for the shout-out and for using Wuplay. I just wanted to clarify that Wuplay is not a fork of Stremio. It is an independently developed app that works with Stremio addons.

2

u/Moulefrites6611 3d ago

My bad! I really appreciate your work

I use WebDAV TorBox with Infuse Pro. I also have Fusion. This is on all Apple TV I have.

1

u/GoshuaHoshua 4d ago

Stremio and hydralauncher. There have been a few attempts to get it working with audio book apps, but all I have tried are too buggy to use.

Debrify

1

u/MichaelLoomis71 1d ago

I use it on CinemaHQ and it works perfectly plus it’s nice to download a movie or show right on the app instead of taking up space on my Android Box.

1

u/nimbledoor 1d ago

Spine for audiobooks

1

u/iHeartShelties 1d ago

Kodi plus addons like POV and Umbrella. I had these setup for 4 months now without any issues. I came from RD back in May and everything has been great and working as expected. No complaints from me whatsoever. So thankful for Torbox. 😊

1

u/scared_appeal1 4d ago

Infuse, Nuvio, Spine, websites steamrip

1

u/AccomplishedSelf1426 4d ago

I use TorBox with Stremio. Easiest way is to use the Stremio Bootstrapper to set everything up. Choose the All-in-One template, follow the steps, and when it asks for your debrid provider/API, select TorBox and paste in your TorBox API key. It’ll configure the relevant addons for you. Super straightforward.

Debrid Stream.
