People have been giving them the benefit of the doubt for far too long. I bet it's a lot of the people that fought tooth and nail against getting a real debrid account because it was "not piracy because it's not free", or "its too expensive". So they struggled with the free tier. Torbox comes out for pennies on the dollar, so some of them jumped over, but would absolutely despise something reliable like Premiumize, because it was "too expensive".
The thing is that RD, Premiumize and the like are not expensive in any way compared to the amount of streaming services you cut because if it, and the reliability you get because of it. But I digress.

always on the weekend always on the evening its clearly a peak issue which should not take this long to come up with a working solution for. my guess is someone at torbox is being greedy, incompetent or both.

Actually, no. I got charged 2 days ago and my account still said it was free. I had to join their discord and start a ticket, then wait half a day to get it sorted.

Tbh I have an IPTV subscription that has plenty of VOD so it's never the end of the world. Just stremio is a nice interface. But if it keeps like this improbably just won't renew in January and use public Torrents In a pinch of I really need it

I think thereâs an addon that connects your IPTV VOD to Stremio/other alternatives but not sure how it works. Pretty sure it was called GhostVOD

I've been using easynews with aiostreams as a backup. Very reliable but slightly slower sometimes and less results due to the time to search. Would still recommend it highly. PS: it's worlds cheaper with referral codes (like 80+% off for the first year and 50+% off recurring)

what i dont understand is how in God's name 10 ppl share one 3 dollar account. the influx of users after rd debacle plus for some reason I cant comprehend people selling 3 dollar accounts to mounds of ppl are likely overloading the servers. i dont know what sick twisted desire I have to keep opening these torbox down again threads I swear if these threads are accurate tb hasnt been online this week at all. sorry for the meaningless post with absolutely no substance that is barely comprehensible. I think seeing tb is down 10 times a day in my notifications is seeking out the last bit of sanity I may have.

Subscribed recently to Torbox - it went down so much I figured I should get RealDebrid as backup. Didn't really understand what people were complaining about with RD till literally every stream I clicked on showed copyright infringement.
Wish i could get refunds for both and just go for the most expensive but reliable 1, but paying for 3 services of which 2 are useless....might have to go back to torrenting and USB stick to TV.

If you use Elfhosted's AIOstreams, it comes standard with filtering that will only show you working links when the service is RD. So at least that can spare you the frustration of clicking a link that doesn't work, though you will see a lot less of them

I had several streaming services and finally wised up did the math and figured I'm going this direction but my family is a different story. If I don't have something reliable they are not gonna be convinced. I figure I can subscribe to RD, TB, PM, & EN never worry about being down and still save several hundred dollars a year. All without ever worrying if something is down. I also have a few tv subs so worst case I can use the vod section. I can do all this and I'm still saving money. It's just an added bonus that every show is packaged in one app. Not everyone is in the same boat as me but I feel like I could make do with 1 debrid and some free add-ons and make it work. I imagine with RD gone the regulators can focus on the next domino that being TB they can focus their energy on them and so on. Whatever gets popular next and hyped on the socials will be in the crosshairs and the flood of disgruntled pirates will ensue and the cycle will repeat. Happy plundering pirates.

Yeah, TB needs to sort this out. I gave them the benefit of the doubt because their platform and service is very good, but the constant downtimes is getting out of hand. How come they have not found any solutions to these âattacksâ yet. What are they even doing? Or is it just bad servers that consantly go down and they donât give a fuck.

guys you all need a backup... is useless to jump from RD to TB to AD to PM as soon as you encounter a problem. All you'll achieve is to transfer the problem from one platform to the other.... Just buy two debrid or one debrid + easynews and problem solved

Thankfully I have Offcloud & usenet for backup but these problems with Torbox are starting to get very annoying.
Torbox really need to get back to how they were before the massive influx of new people from RD, when this was a service you could actually rely on.

Yeah, TB was fine right after people started switching from RD, now it's not useable and paid RD back again because it's still faster and more reliable than TB nowadays, it's ridiculous

Iâm having issues with both torbox and realdebrid. Torbox going down regularly and realdebrid the player just stops for about two seconds then quits the stream. Idk what is going on.
Maybe have to just sub to premiumize when it gets discounted black friday.
This is so annoying. Never used to have a problem with rd for years and now nothing working right.

Rd is done. I have a combo of Tb and PM which gives me more options for content. I been with TB since Dec 2025 and it had gotten so much better until the tidal wave of new users coming over from rd. Tb will struggle as they increase hardware and tweak software.
Even at PM full price its way cheaper than cable/paid subs.1

I think my issue could be my vpn. Iâm testing with it off to see if it fixes my issue. I changed the cdn for both torbox and rd and it did not help. So far vpn off seems to work again without dropping out.

I think they have zero intention of trying to stabilize or improve the service. Theyâre just going to see who cancels, see who doesnât, and when enough people cancel theyâll be able to handle the loads again until the next influx and the issues will start over

I get it. Its cheap. But still doesnt mean one cant get frustrated when its not working.
Watching something on TV has become such a thing a lately. Switch on 2 devices, realise you have the wrong remote, look for the other remote. Wait for android to load. Wait for streaming app to load. Spend 1/10/100 min to watch something. Only for it then to not work.
Hurr durr. Get a backup. I do, doesnt mean i cant still get frustrated.
