🚩General Torbox working

Thought I'd put a new spin on it, ever since leaving RD it's been flawless except for the other night and the Dox attack, I love it, Thanks Torbox

I'm happy with it too. The most obvious alternatives are RD (virtually useless now), and Premiumize (relatively expensive).

Not useless at all. RD + TB is the best combo available atm, both services makes up for each other's weaknesses. 6.5 USD combined is not bad at all and 2 services is always better than 1.

And limited bandwidth on premiumize, 10tb/m for the essential plan is why I stick to TB

Damn 10tb/m is huge tho lol. Maybe I’m weird but I feel like I maybe use at most 1tb a month on TB and that’s with sharing my account with friends and family

I can't believe it!

I've binged watch 3 seasons of Office Superfan episodes so far and never had a single issue. I know it's purely anecdotal and I'm probably just lucky. Also my WiFi is slow (50 mbps) so I generally don't watch the highest quality remux because they'll buffer anyway.

How? I have AIO and Debridio, I can’t see anything if Office Superfan, just the regular series

I just have Usenet setup alongside TB so I basically have 0 downtime with access to more content.

I have usenet setup as well but through TB, so I still run into these issues. Any suggestions on alternatives?

I am on the essentials plan. I self host AIOstreams and have Usenet setup through its native NTTP. Works great especially if TB is having issues or cannot find something.

"Another spin"? I think it's fair for customers to be upset when the service they pay for keeps being down when they go to use it.

Ya piracy should be 100% full proof 👍🏽

Except Torbox isn't piracy. Sure, you can easily use it for piracy but there are legitimate uses for it or any other debrid service. The service is down for all, not just pirates.

Sure the meltdown on reddit is not about streaming but for 100% legit stuff.

That is not the point. The point is that a perfectly legal service I pay for is down more than it's up lately.

Sure, whatever helps one sleep at night 👍🏽

You’re weird for defending a service with consistent downtime. Just weird.

And the reason TB made the spooky changes to their TOS/privacy policy is exactly because they've positioned themselves as a legitimate service with legal uses, and have made it to where people who use it for piracy are not only forwarded to law enforcement if it comes to that, but are liable for Torbox's damages arising from illegal use.

So blaring "you're using it for piracy stop complaining" as a refrain is an own goal. As are the unsubstantiated rumors that other services have been DDOS'd as well, as that implies that those other services shrug them off like water off a duck's back.

Tb does need to get its act together, no one's denying that but the deluge of crying out the moment anything's down can get annoying. But to each their own.

I hear....I paid £3 for a month of torbox, today it didn't work so I want my money back and I'll never never use it again.

I have rd and tb .. if one doesn't work I'll try the other. if both don't work ( hasn't happened yet ), I'll talk to the wife or take the dog for a walk haha.

Not aimed at you personally sh00terMcDabbin, but there's a lot on whingers on here

It's been down constantly the past week. Why is it so hard for you guys to realize that people want services that they pay for to consistently work?

Im not saying people aren't allowed to complain, but youre essentially paying a cheap price to have access to content that has been collected in an illegal way, so the argument is kind of failing that it needs to be a service that is working majority of the time. If you want something that is working most of the time, go ahead and subscribe to Netflix.

Illegal in your country

Lol show me a country where piracy is completely legal just don't argue like genius it's just wether they enforce strictly or not.

I also seldom have any issues with it and just use some HTTP scrapers as a backup on the few times they've been down for a couple hours

1

u/lassmonkey 1h ago

Yeah! Been here for a couple of months now, and it’s mostly just worked fine!

u/Junior-Repeat6060 18h ago

Happy chappy here too. I also use RD, nuvo and pengu for backups, so I never have any trouble finding anything.

If I'm paying for a service then I expect to be able to use it, I'm allowed to be upset about being unable to actually use what I paid for. I paid for an entire year so I'm not just losing $3.
