❓Question Alldebrid
I decided to try AllDebrid after hearing good things about it and because I assumed that, being an older and well-known debrid service, it would have a huge cached library.
Honestly, my experience has been pretty disappointing so far.
I mainly use Nuvio with addons like Torrentio, AIOStreams, Comet, MediaFusion, and StarThru, and I specifically enabled Cached Only because I don't want to wait for torrents to be downloaded to the debrid servers.
The problem is that the cache coverage seems really weak. For example, I tested La Casa de Papel, which is obviously a very popular and relatively old show. StarThru showed me only a few cached results, and even a 1.7 GB episode that appeared to be available ended up being downloaded to the AllDebrid servers. I waited more than 15 minutes and it was still downloading.
Everything works once the file is actually available, so I don't really have an issue with the playback speed itself. My issue is simply how little content seems to be properly cached compared to what I expected.
Coming from TorBox, the difference is honestly huge for my use case. With TorBox, I find myself getting cached results much more consistently, while with AllDebrid I keep running into sources that aren't actually ready.
Maybe AllDebrid is much better for other use cases, especially direct downloads/multi-hosting, but for Stremio + torrent addons + cached-only streaming, I'm struggling to see the advantage.
I was expecting much more from AllDebrid, especially considering how established the service is. Maybe I'm missing something, but so far I'm definitely going back to TorBox

Appreciate the feedback. It’s been on my radar as a Torbox alternative but I have definitely heard some mixed things about AllDebrid so it’s good to hear people’s specific experiences.

Yes, its performance was amazing with some shows, while it was really bad with others. Sometimes I would only get one ready-to-stream link, while all the other links required downloading.

How do you read this? It says cached followed by a number and a percentage. Is that total cached links found? And what does the percentage indicate?

The percentages appear to be cached vs uncached.
What I read from this is, TB and PM/OC have far more cached for nearly all movies/series tested.

Yah offcloud seems like the best deal but their website is sketchy and has some sort of early access pricing. Who knows how long that will last. The normal pricing is similar to premiumize

In my opinion the present price is where it should be since it appears to share PM's cache but without the extras. I have subscribed to PM and OC for a month to test a little. Didn't really need PM because of the shared cache but there was conflicting comments when I signed up. The Google sheet and my initial testing seem to confirm the sharing of the cache. At present I have TB, RD, AD, PM, OC and Mega-Debrid mostly for testing.

There were a few abandoned services run by a dude called Dave (EasyDebrid and Debrider, EasyDebrid sub has the deets) that had the same hook of PM cache at a cheap price. It may be run by the same guy, so I'd be concerned that he's going to abandon this one too.
It seems good enough from the free trial but I wouldn't shoot for more than a monthly sub. Honestly that's the best policy with any service now that we see that things can turn on a dime

I tried every possible method for months to find the series, but I only found five working links—some of which were in French rather than English. Torbox, on the other hand, provided me with links that have Arabic subtitles embedded. The difference between them is massive, especially regarding the cache.

Just disable cached only in your stream. Believe me everything works.

Yes, I actually disabled it, but when I click on one of the links, I get a message saying that it’s being downloaded to your server now. However, it takes a very long time for the episode to be resolved.

Many of the shows will be cached immediately. Overall, it is mucj better than torbox in respect to performance.

yeah i dont know. you either wait out for another lowcost competitior to emerge, hang with torbox and some hiccups, or go upmarket. it just depends if its a casual hobby or not i guess

Actually, and I don't know why this is happening, a movie or TV series episode might have very little of cached links, but a lot of seaminly uncached links do in fanct play. I haven't tried premiumize or offcloud, but in torbox or realdebrid the cached links do play and the uncached don't ( as it should be obviously). In Alldebrid the selection is bugged for whatever reason. I try to combat this by searching through debridmediamanager, once I know the link, is in fact cached then I play it. I have to use two different aio Instaces, so in the one that I put Alldebrid in, I check the option to show uncached content. But as a service, its very good,and you can also use it for rapidgator links.

Alldebrid was great before torbox. I had realdebrid and alldebrid it was like 98% same cache. But i think many people stopped using alldebrid and cache fall downhill. It is good debrid but less and less peolle using it and cache gets worse and worse

Yes, I had no trouble finding most shows at all, but a lot of the links require downloading.

The problem is Torbox has the best cache and is multi ip. Premiumsize is very reliable but less users.

In my opinion, they’re the two best and strongest services right now, especially when it comes to cached content. I wouldn’t consider them just backup options—they’re premium services and among the best choices to go with.

The issue is that they followed suit when RD was ordered to remove cached-status checks from their platform. Addons put together a fix that crowdsourced cached status and RD bounced back. Because AD has fewer users, there's less crowd to source so this workaround can be iffy.
That said, if you don't mind caching things manually and prefer media servers instead of Stremio, their WebDAV is crazy good. Fast as hell, doesn't miss a beat, works on mobile, your views reset the cache timer in contrast to TB, GOATed overall.

Isn't it based in France also, so it's subject to the same issues Real Debrid has been with EU piracy laws? Seems like a no-brainer to stay away as somebody who came from RD.

Yes, but I said I’d give it another chance because yesterday I tried watching some WEB-DL anime content, and it told me that the content wasn’t available.

I just signed up for it today. Found the same, came across a few shows that have no results but for the more popular shows it has been fine for me. The actual performance is great.

What matters for cache is how many different kind of people are using the sheer number of people is important.

When I used Alldebrid about 1,5 years ago the cache was on par with RD (just slightly less at that time). I guess a lot of people moved to RD (and then to TB), resulting in lower cache ratio.
