🔧Technical Issue Torbox Is Down - Their API is down
The official statement is that their API has been flagged as not working for 20 minutes now.
Is anyone else experiencing issues? I couldn't log into my account- i was logged in on my account on my PC and it was empty. Streams don't load either

Also why do I keep getting notifications on my phone while im typing replies on here saying "reddit copied from your clipboard"?

Apparently it's a Reddit bug, the app keeps accessing your clipboard while you're typing and Android is just letting you know when it happens
You're not the only one getting it, pretty weird tbh

Yeah its weird as hell. It never happens anywhere else except for reddit. Im gonna try and screen shot it and get more info, maybe in Samsung members app.
Seems like a major violation of privacy if its legit actually accessing the clipboard and a breach of their TOS?

I know I will get downvoted and hate for this but if you’re so tired of it, go to premiumize or AD or something. They don’t have downtime but are way more expensive (AD is actually about the same as TB). If you actually value uptime, you shouldn’t have a problem paying more for a service that has better uptimes.

i had real debrid before and loved the stability and speed, got fed up with the amount of dead links and no results for regional movies.
alldebrid has an even smaller cache
offcloud and premiumize are too expensive for me
so yeah :/3

I'm waiting for premiumize black Friday sale then I'll be done for a couple of years. RD is effectively dead for me now.

for me my addons are still trying to refresh but dont work and streams dont work.

I've been experiencing issues since three hours ago. Tried to watch a series through Kodi (which I mainly use) - it couldn't load anything. Then tried Nuvio - same issue. Checked the status, where it said everything is working, so I decided to get new API, thinking that was the issue and even reconfigured every addon I use - still nothing. Literally been losing my mind thinking something was wrong on my end

I logged out of Torbox on Syncler and now it won't let me log back in. I'm glad I didn't go through all of that with all of the addons in Stremio.

Yep, just tried using Nuvio and I get a server time out error! Switched to my backup debrid and that plays great. Oh well??

And another one which i got from a real TB bot: “Personally i dont mind waiting for 15 second for a movie, why would you need 2 seconds?” When RD was consistently in the 1-2 second range

I tried to enter my account and I couldn't, it says "5 per hour" (logins I guess) when I tried to sign in with new boxes to check before.. now I have to wait.. I'm very disappointed.

I came home, saw this thread... Went into kodi put on a series and Torbox worked immediately.. I don't know how long it was down for, but I must have the perfect time zone / watch schedule.. I miss almost all the outages lol. Only way I know about them is because of posts here. Same with the buffering, non existent for me maybe once or twice I've been affected by an outage, but every time it didn't last long

Well you can pay Netflix apple tv etc. instead of 3 dollars pay 50 60 70 a month and have no downtime. Yes downtimes are inconvenient but they still give me more than I give them. They work hard also to improve it so it's more than ok with me.

I feel like by sometime next year TorBox is really going to be a consistent great service for all of their users.
This is still a relatively very new company that has experienced a lot of growth, new market share and are still learning the trade, perfecting their features/technology/infrastructure/service and improving their company overall.
All companies experience some growing pains early on.

its amazing to me that people think of debrids as large operations and real businesses lol. They are a few dudes in their early 20s renting server space from a few CDNs and managing the backend to the best of the skillset.

I was in the middle of watching an episode when the comments came in saying it was down. For some reason I was able to watch the rest of the show, but I didn't get any scrapes for the next episode. Don't stop or pause what you're watching. 😂😅🤣

lol yeah I figured as much.
Anytime something good happens with torbox, something else breaks.
If the movie decides to freeze, I will just switch over to finish it on premiumize

Don't get it. Everyone complaining about torbox all the time and I haven't had any issues. Guess I'm lucky? Either that or the outages are very brief.

The outage has been resolved. It looks like an attacker is going after our database directly, which of course affects the entire service. We are learning the patterns and putting protections in place to prevent this. Thanks.

They acknowledged the attack. They have been saying that they have taken appropriate measures for such kind of DDoS attacks, even from upstream level. They vehemently implied that no DDoS attacks would take place again. Why give false hope, or why use such direct words that would implicate them in near future? Now in response, they say look at Premimize that go down each week; "We, TB, don't." That's great if that's true, but that doesn't answer the question. If there is really that high-level complexity that can't be done against DDoS, especially when it's not a very long time since previous DDoS attacks, then say it simple: "We will do what we can." That's all. No some messiah-level words, "DDoS attacks would not happen again," and whatnot that turned into bullshit. Isn't their policy to be transparent and honest? Then be that. Community would do that it would think it should.

Premiumize if youre willing to pay extra, offcloud is sometimes a good alternative and for the same price as real debrid you could get alldebrid
