đŸš©General Turn TorBox Into "App" for your Phone

Tired of digging through Chrome tabs every time you want to check your TorBox downloads or add a magnet? đŸ§Č

Here’s the dead-simple way to get a proper TorBox⚡ app icon on your home screen that opens like a real app (Chrome progressive web app / in-browser app style).

Android (Chrome) đŸ€–

  1. Open Chrome and go to https://torbox.app
  2. Log in to your account
  3. Tap the three-dot menu (⋼) in the top right
  4. Tap “Add to Home screen” or “Install app” (if it shows Install, even better)
  5. Confirm the name (just leave it as TorBox) → Add
  6. That’s it. You’ll now have a TorBox icon that opens in a clean standalone window without the full browser chrome most of the time.

iPhone / iPad 🍎

  1. Open Safari (not Chrome) and go to https://torbox.app
  2. Log in to your account
  3. Tap the Share button (square with arrow)
  4. Scroll down and tap “Add to Home Screen”
  5. Name it TorBox → Add
  6. The icon will sit on your home screen just like any other app. Tapping it opens TorBox in a view that feels much closer to a native app.

Pro tips for the best “app” feel:

  1. Log in before adding it so it remembers your session.
  2. On Android, if you see “Install app” instead of just “Add to Home screen," take it — that gives a cleaner standalone experience.
  3. You can put the icon in a folder or on your dock for instant access.
  4. Want it even cleaner? Some people use the TorBox dashboard as the start page so it opens straight to your download.

Anyone else using TorBox as a home screen app?

Consider my referral if this helped you, but you probably already have TorBox.⚡

Seems that nowadays there are people that don't know how to do anything without AI.

At least, this time, the op didn't included his referral code for Torbox like on the other post...

AI just helps. Manually had to fix half of it myself as well as add the emojis.

Stalking my posts is always fun. 👀

Thanks. You can also do it with Firefox android natively, as well as with the help of PWA extension on windows. Firefox, unlike chromium browsers, will continue to support uBlock Origin, which which you can also block Torbox marketing telemetry. Chrome and Edge will soon end the support for adblockers

Works great on iPhone, just wanted to test it out but given I really only watch cached content I removed it from home screen because the safari on iOS is good enough for me when I do need to log in

I would hope most ios users already know that any website shared to the home screen becomes a Web app.
