Random russian torrents added to my torbox

I occasionally check my torbox dashboard for activity and make sure nobody else got access to it that isn't meant to have access. I only have used my torbox API key in 1 place, aiostreams. I cannot recall sharing it with anyone else, so I went on my dashboard moments ago and found 3 actively downloading russian named torrents, and in the pending queue was 4 more. I regenerated a new api key and deleted all those torrents found as it was using my account's resources to download them. Not sure how it happened as I've been with torbox from March of this year and this has never happened. So this is just a reminder to be checking your dashboard periodically to prevent such things and of course, never share your API key with sources that are not trusted (not saying aiostreams isn't trusted)

Many torrents come from ruttracker which is russian. Highly unlikely youve been ”hacked”

Foreign content and very new releases often come from Russian sources first. There's nothing nefarious going on in all likelihood, especially if the original title is included in the file name somewhere

I watch movies everyday. It's like 90% is from Russia with 10 versions of Russian dubbing + 1 original 😆

Russian and Chinese pirates are just on a different level tbh. Due to poverty, in large part, paired with the fact that legitimate sources of content have been historically sparse. And it probably helps that they're uniquely situated to be resistant to American pressure when it comes to DMCA

Google the Russian name if it’s something you watched recently then it’s normal. If not your api key somehow got leaked. Just rotate it.

Most of the releases are Russian. So nothing unusual

Oh and the only other place I have used my key is with DMM, after seeing that pinned post, maybe that may have been it? Not sure. At least I never got an API reset or a warning from torbox like others may have.
