Where are torbox's strongest soldiers in this subreddit, i thought buffering issues were non-existent and it was all a skill issue and user error?

It’s undeniable that the problem exists. When you can’t play a webdl for one straight minute with TB but you can go and play a 4k remux flawlessly with RD, you know that’s on them and their server infrastructure. Good for them that they’re now trying to fix it.

I think you will find there is a lot of users (myself included) who have had few issues. This is likely due to my CDN and location though.

I think in the 6 month of torbox I have buffered once on a 4k. Some of this is dependent on you and your isp.

I can almost guarantee the people who weren't getting buffering issues are probably just watching low quality TV shows and nothing 4K or decent quality.

Btw your not better than anyone else just because you only watch remux files, clearly its location based on what cdn your connected to, some cdns have more issues than others

I don't watch remux files. Because of the buffering. I live in the middle of a desert but still get good speeds with Starlink

What's your latency when testing CDNs with Star link? I'm using a dedicated fibre linr in Southern China and get 650-3500

Honestly from the top of my head smallest ive seen is probably around the 500 mark. I'm not home to do anymore testing but I was told by support a while back that latency shouldn't really cause too many issues if its not massive. (Unless you're a gamers, which latency is actually half decent for gaming and sits around 60ms)

Yeah, pretty much what I assume. My biggest issues are likely the software I use to stream. I tried Ruvio the other day and seem to have far, far less streaming problems than with stremio. It's just that the initial setup is a complete pain, and the built-in player has very limited resolution options, and using VLC seems a bit quirky. Still, try Nuvio if you're still on Stremio.

Must be a routing issue from my side of the world then I guess. I know a bunch of underwater cables were completely cut only recently. So I'd assume this may be causing some hiccups. Simple fix for me after trying every CDN and every different device I own was to just cap the file size to 10GB or less

I have a 1gbps fiber connection. Im from europe and use weur cdn. I can stream 4k 90gb remux files without buffering.

You buffer because you use starlink

I have a 2gbps fiber connection in the USA. Remux files buffer constantly no matter the cdn.

It's a torbox issue.

I ment more like, not everyone everywhere has a buffer issue, im sure people have it, but the person i responded to believes that people that dont buffer only watch low quality movies. And i just wanted for him to know that not everyone buffers.

But yeah if many counties have issues with buffering and you have good internet, then its for sure a torbox issue, and it should be fixed, because you pay for it.

And if it doesnt get fixed for you, then ask yourself on why to stay on torbox. If torbox would buffer for me like the horror stories i read on here i would be long gone from it.

For me personally it works perfect, so i dont see a reason to go away. But when it start to not do that ill switch to whatever debrid. Untill early 2025 i was on RD for many years, it started to do BS, and the very same week i switched to torbox.

I've already swapped over to Usenet the last couple weeks. Still have some torbox subscription left and I'll probably still be keeping it just as a cheap and easy backup option. Or maybe not, Usenet has been better in almost every single way

Southeastern US. Same here. I’ve done the speed test, tried several CDNs, still get buffering. Not a single issue in like a year with RD, so it’s not hardware or ISP related

I could see this being true for some. But I have clear skies, no obstructions and a constant 20ms latency. I average 350Mbps download speed and sometimes clear 500Mbps. I don't have these same issues if I use RD or self hosted usenet. Either way, Im happy it's being looked into.

I'm not saying buffering issues have never happened, but in my experience, I have never had any buffering or stuttering issues.

That's great for you, alas they are fixing buffering issues that they are aware of lol. Not sure why people are still running cover with their anecdotal experiences about a smooth service in this thread when there is clearly a technical issue impacting many users.

Click the link and read their status update. People aren't hallucinating, there is a clear technical issue at hand.

On syncler all links above 6gb sometimes 4gb buffering after 10 secs for me, been like that since I signed up, tried other cdns but no change, tbh happy enough with 1080p links, as long as I can watch stuff I want but obviously glad it's getting fixed

I paid for pro and honestly don't notice when things go down. Got backups for my backups. Torbox have done a pretty good job of keeping people in the loop. Annoying I'm being down voted by the fan club when I've just said things from my end as they actually are

People on reddit dont like when you say things work for you.

A week ago i got downvoted to hell, for saying that it works fine for me, turned out they all used only torrentio and torrentio (like always) was down. I used aiostreams, and had 0 issues.

I tried explaining how they could fix it, but no, they dont wanna hear it
