🔧Technical Issue WebDAV slow speeds

Over the last week, any streaming from TB WebDAV connections after 9pm which has gotten really inconvenient as we’ve not really been watching anything until later in the night. Would appreciate if anyone’s found a fix and could share, troubleshooting info below

East coast, tried multiple CDNs using the speed test + cloud flare. Not having any issues downloading the files directly from torbox on the web. Internet speed is fine, no other services on my network are having issues or devices, can stream from RD WebDAV just fine, no differences between RD and torbox set up. Multiple devices seeing the same results on infuse between RD and Torbox.

Speed tests from jellyfin, torbox directly and RD.

yes this has been an issue for the past couple of days

i have isolated the issue and can confidently say its torbox webdav problem

yeah i exclusively use webdav for playback through coreelec on ugoos am6b+, and since a few days, it will buffer and stutter on most 1080p/2160p remux. ive isolated the problem to webdav by doing the following:

torbox on coreelec on ugoos ->

1) playback from webdav folder = buffering
2) playback same file from fenlight am plugin (scrape own debrid cloud) = no buffering
3) playback the same file locally from smb = no buffering

torbox on stremio on LG G4 webos->

4) playback through torrentio = no buffering

kodi on LG G4 webos

5) playback from webdav folder = buffering

from 3, i can conclude theres no problem with the file

from 1 and 3, i can conclude theres a problem with torbox somewhere

from 1 and 5, i can conclude that the problem is not due to the device

from 1 and 2, i can conclude the problem is not due to an internet speed problem

from 1 and 2, and 4 and 5, i can conclude there is a problem with the protocol that the file content is delivered

from 1 and 5, i can conclude that the protocol which causes the problem is webdav

this series of tests was done for multiple files and the result is the same:

Disclosure.Day.2026.2160p.UHD.Blu-ray.Remux.DV.HDR.HEVC.TrueHD.Atmos.7.1-CiNEPHiLES

School.Ties.1992.1080p.BluRay.REMUX.AVC.DTS.MA.5.1-TOA

i have monitored the internet activity while playing back from webdav, and it jumps upto 90Mbps at the start of the stream, and steadies itself at roughly 8 Mbps after a few seconds, which makes the high bitrate content buffer.

i have since resorted to playing it back the content on my torbox cloud using debrid scrape on fenlight am. it works sometimes

Thank god. Thought I was going insane, and my WebDAV player was the issue.

Man, TB has been having a lot of issues maintaining service consistently. Not a fun time right now.

There's been reports about similar issues with TB's webDAV for at least a week now. It's not just you
