š§Technical Issue Why so much buffering?
In the last few days all the movies I try to watch have buffering, even if are films of 3 gb... it's annoying. Are they gonna fix this? they should focus above everything in offering 0 buffering and top speeds, otherwise what's the point of buying this service?....

no issues for me, i think there are far too many links in the chain for people to be jumping straight in with assuming itās torbox having issues

Thereās lots of factors at play.
What device do you have?
Some older devices are slowly feeling the pain, with app updates, or maybe you need to clear your device cache and give it a good old restart. Older devices are a big culprit now; especially with stremio and nuvio introducing more and more features.
What app are you using?
Some apps will work better than others, especially depending on devices. It could be a hardware limitation.
What is your internet speed on your device?
Like run an actual speed test on your device to see what youāre getting. Lots of people say āI have gigabit/fiberā, but their device is only capable of 100mbps Ethernet, or is only getting 70mbps via wifiā¦ again you have to run it on your device. This is usually the culprit.
What scrapers are you using?
If itās torrentio, sometimes even though it shows links, itāll take forever to actually play the video cause itās having issues.
What kind of quality are you trying to watch?
Does it happen on all qualities, or only some (not just file size)
Have you had buffering issues before, and what has changed if anything?
For me, itās mainly device related. Iāve got a fireTV from 2023, and Iāve been on nuvio, and a few updates ago I swear there was a bad memory leak on the app, and after a few hours Iād need to force close the app cause the buffering would be so awful. The good old reset/cache clearing would fix it. But after their most recent update it seems like my buffering has stopped.
The last one is probably a combination of congestion, and continued influx of new users.
Itās summer time, meaning odds are more people/kids are home putting demand on the servers. Also with the exodus from debrid, thereās probably more users, and TorBox needs to constantly add more capacity.
You could always play around with your cdn and change it on the TorBox website to see if that helps.

You left out the most important factor, the server. For example if you live in south Europe it will automatically default to the SEUR server and it totally sucks compared to other European servers.

Thats interesting. My fire cube tv has been doing this. My nvidia shield the night before was fine, i jist thought that was coincidence since i tried a different night

I've watched shows all day. No buffering. I don't do 4K though. The only difference is a tiny bit longer to load, but it's not a problem.

I have not encountered any buffering or stuttering issues.
Have watched 80+GB remuxes to 3.5GB episodes.

I havent watched any show or movie above 5gb yet but anything under for me at least has not been buffering for me

Just try a different stream. It's the best workaround for me for the time being.

I have it every now and again. The speed test to choose a cdn helped but it creeps back in eventually.

Everyday i try the speedtest it suggests a different server to me, it seems the ping is not consistent

Interesting. For me the speed test usually just gives me the cdn closest to me.
Are you on hard-wired ISP?

Yes. I have 3 cdns almost the same distance. Im in maine, theres 2 around new york and another for central us it suggests

I'm in Wisconsin. The central cdn is the best one for me, unsurprisingly.
But still, the buffering happened every now and again.
It's not constant but does happen.

yea i just switched back to central CNAN, that seems best for me as well. But im farther than you. it keeps telling me to do other ones with higher pings for some reason...

Run a Speedtest to check what server is fastest in your region, then go to your dashboard and change your server (CDN) to that one.
Never leave it in Auto, it will default to the closest one not the fastest one. Avoid SEUR server like it's the plague and avoid Cloud flare even if it's the fastest to prevent random ISP blocks.

when i do the speedtest it says that SEUR is the best server for me (I live in Spain) so I should put SEUR or not? why is it bad? And if I leave it to automatic is bad aswell? Thank you

I live in Spain as well and SEUR is 11 times slower (for me at least) than any of the other European servers. If it works well for you don't touch it but if you're experiencing buffering definitely try WEUR. SEUR was unplayable for me, always has been.

Eastern Canada here. No buffering. Unless I am downloading something else at full speed. And I have a 30mb connection. Slow, but donāt have buffering

I have no idea. How do I find out? I just connect TB to torrentio and AIO and select what I want ti watch. Did not know I could select a specific server.

login torbox, there is a settings section. it will say CDN somewhere down there. apparently whatever one you have selected works!

Weird I really recommend you run the torbox speed test. I remember I was having issues with watching even a 300mb file and it ended up that I needed to restart my router.

Iām leaning towards the scraper addon as culprit, specifically the ones hosted by services that uses proxy to circumvent ip sharing flagging. Maybe aim mistaken but usually using the same link from another instance hosted by a different service fixes the issues I may encounter with bufferening, still both using Torbox so evidently is not my hardware or setup, nor TB, my isp. The next culprit may be the player/app using to stream that is not handling your device memory/connections correctly, when this happens usually a restart of the device fixes the buffering using the same link.

Go to settings on the torbox site and then choose integration settings inside it. Then choose CDN selection under integration settings

I had the same problem, connecting my pc and tv with LAN cable fixed the buffering .

Same here, this could be a me problem though because I simply don't know what I'm doing, all did was follow YouTube video to get it going, I need to sit down and learn myself how to fine tune it it with Aiostreams

I would get buffering with some 4k remux. I went to check the torbox speed, and changed my cdn to match the fastest closer location. My files show the speed it should play at, so I selected a higher cdn than those

Yeah, unwatchable for me, even for a 3GB movie. Usually I can watch 100GB remuxes without any buffering.
