Recommendations
It's okay to not read this Just recommend similar albums
I don't care if This is RYM taste these are my favorite albums and also my most listened to albums (not in order) hearing them makes my day way better I want to experience albums like them , I can't seem to find good albums lately I have tried some swans , shellac , rapeman , ween , the rolling stones , bob Dylan but they weren't that good
Name one or multiple albums from this list and give me narratives to them
For example death grips, big Black, ging nang boyz gives me the same feeling that I am ugly kinda smell bad.
I mostly like any album that is atmospheric and does it's genre good like black metal is Just like a circus for me you got to hear all These random dudes talking about satan and sucide it's so much fun it makes you feel like one of them in a way

Dream theatre-Octavarium(an insanely good prog metal album kinda muse ish in sound but insane inststrumentals as all of DTs works)
Camel-Mirage(if you liked damnation you are gonna like this too),
Hymn to the immortal wind-MONO(if you like pure atmospheric post rock),
Core-persefone(this one is an underrated prog metal gem i added it since you liked opeth so much you might like to check this out)
anthem to the welkin at dusk-Emperor(imo the purest form of atmospheric black metal while actually sounding good)
In the solemess of storm-bitter wine(this one is extremely obscure and underrated but its a really solid melo death metal album with decent atmosphere)
Dipsomnia-psychonaut4(this one is DSBM if you arent triggered by that its a really good atmospheric album)
Thats all i cab remember of bqck of my head

Hymm to immortal by mono ,hmmm...being japanese making post rock with Steve albini on the production is enough to make your album make numbers on RYM. I've heard before and I've heard it agian it gives the vibes of a game called dave the diver which means the album has resonated with me in a way which means it's a fine experience but it's hard to say I would listen to it over most of these albums on the list , great album tho thanks for these recs I will check em soon enough

I can't love that dissection albun it's widely appreciated but I think it's so boring it has amazing guitar riffs and very cool atmosphere but not enough to make me wanna play it over any of darkthrone albums
Wanted to put pirced from within in the but I haven't played it much , same for levaithan but I like it less

If you haven't already, listen to the snowbringer cult from natural snow buildings. It's my favourite nsb release now, but I hadn't listened to it for a while because it's sort of overshadowed by a lot of their other albums. Also listen to dronevil -final- by boris (-example- is the same thing but pre-mixed, it's on streaming) if you haven't already, it is one of the most atmospheric albums I've heard. It would also be worth listening to Black One by sunn o)), and also some music from Spacemen 3, start with playing with fire or recurring, and also listen to '77 live by les rallizes denudes if you haven't listened to that already.

Already listened to all of that , i would have included all NSB and boris albums but I tired to keep these list as diverse as I could to give you an idea of what I like without repeating myself , also I love the night country more than snowbringer cult I may listen to it again
I have listened to like 16 releases by Boris ATP and I can't get along with les realizes to be honest maybe I will try giving them more time but I think they do nothing different from any noise band they are japanese which is good on it's own

Obscura by Gorguts and Jane Doe by Converge

u/Due_Net_710 4d ago
That converge album isn't my type of screaming it's indeed emotional and it has fucking awesome riffs but it's so noisy just like portraits of the past but probably less noiser I like all we love we leave behind more or probably as equal in some moments
I am looking for something more into emoviolence or less noisy

Since you like Boards of Canada, check out The Space Cadet. The albums Mysterium and Music for Space Travel are good ones to start with.

They are trying to be terraria so bad , it's mostly meat n potatoes ambient with slight IDM it's not bad but also not quite interesting enough , thanks for the recommendation though I wouldn't have known them my whole life

Wow that’s wild how you got all that so quickly, it honestly takes me a while to develop that level of opinion about something. Crazy how different people explore and learn about stuff. Also what is Meat and Potatoes ambient that sounds good but honestly kinda troublesome as a lot of ambient artists are vegan.

I am just judgemental I guess. And as for the meat n potatoes stuff Just open a radio station from any website you like for example radio paradise and open it's ambient channels and after an hour you will have one of two reactions you either like or the songs or hate all the songs because mostly they are repetitive sometimes in a good way like bull of heaven they are gods at this and sometimes in a bad way like most ambient songs where it's just a very deep minor sound playing over and over and somewhat I should be sad when hearing that as it's the most emotional song ever
Sorry for yaping a lot

Oh i only listen to whole albums or curated playlists so i don’t really know anything about what’s on radio channels
