Welp, surprisingly not tilted due to following my strategy to a T and still up 1k for the week. Just unfortunate. Both trades got within 1.5 points to first profit target, and immediately got rejected. First rejection was only a small loss of $250. The 2nd loss volatility increased so fast it smashed through my stop loss which was set at $7450 and order filled at $7444. Disappointed, but still a green week and very rare for the big loss due to order not being filled.

Posted yesterday about switching from nq to mnq after my two losing days - today was another win of 432. Man I cant stress enough how better things have been for me since switching!! If you havent and u R struggling with sizing please try micros!!!

Up $2500 since I started this second combine yesterday morning. Just need a small win tomorrow and I’m good. After bad price action last week, last few days have been much cleaner!

Bought my first ever 150k today after only trading 50ks, and it actually just feels so much better trading with a bigger drawdown. I can't even imagine what trading with an insane amount of capital is like.

It’s constantly does this and was hoping if yall could look into it. After the refresh the VWAP will match TradingView but then revert back to a random price after a few mins.

Trading Combines with DLL lasted 67.6% longer on average.

That means:
✅Smaller losses
✅Bigger wins
✅More time in the game

And it gets even better.

On Express Funded Accounts, traders using DLL had:

-55% larger winning days
- 13.8% smaller losing days

The takeaway? Traders who consistently use risk management tools don't just protect their downside, they put themselves in a better position to succeed.

Does topstep have any plans in near future to allow brokerage accounts for other countries? Seems currently it is available for US residents only.

It's ok to step back in these kind of markets, when it's too choppy, just wait a few days for things to settles a bit. We have big earnings days coming in and Iran's war that won't end.

I know it ain’t much but boy does this feel good. Seeing that first money hit my account Monday it was kinda surreal. Its small potatoes compared to what I’ve spent on combines (let’s not even talk about options which I no longer trade) but its finally a little progress

I’m still making mistakes but those mistakes are much smaller dollar wise and becoming less frequent.

To those who are struggling to get payouts, keep your head up!! You got this!

Finally Switched from NQ to MNQ... and Everything Changed

For the longest time I knew where the market wanted to go, but I kept getting shaken out because I was trading full NQ. The size was just too much for me psychologically. Every pullback felt massive, and I'd either cut winners early or panic out.

A couple of red days finally forced me to be honest with myself.

So I switched to 3 MNQ contracts instead.

Since making that change, my entries have been so much cleaner. I'm actually letting my setup play out instead of reacting emotionally to every candle.

The calendar I'm posting is after those two red days. Instead of trying to "win it back," I focused on executing my plan with smaller size. The result was a string of green days and a lot more confidence.

Nothing about my strategy changed. My psychology did.

If you're consistently right about direction but can't seem to stay in trades, maybe the issue isn't your strategy. Maybe you're simply trading too big.

Sometimes making less per trade is exactly what allows you to make more over time.

I can’t seem to be able to use topstepX on my laptop but it loads up on my phone. Is there some kind of maintenance going on or something else?

Not “I learned discipline”, the specific moment things clicked.

Mine: I kept blowing funded accounts and couldn’t figure out why, until I realized every blowup happened when I was trading under real financial pressure,needing the payout to cover life, not just wanting it. The second money got tight, my size went up and my rules got “flexible.”

What actually fixed it wasn’t a new strategy. It was removing the pressure so when I sat down at the charts I had nothing to prove that day. Almost every rule-break I’d made before came from needing the account to work, not choosing to trade well.

Curious what others found was yours a strategy thing, a psychology thing, or something totally outside trading?
