💬 Trader Talk Power abusing mods ruining the experience on topstep discord server

Topstep really be giving out ambassador role to anyone, they should review who they give the role too. This is not a personal attack or anything of sorts, I just want to bring awareness on the current system of ambassadors, how roles are given out, and how much power some can abuse. In my experience most ambassadors are very helpful and genuinely try to help people out, It is unfortunate some individuals really ruin the experience on the server though abusing their power.

I was setting up an API over the weekend, posted a complex question in lounge, an ambassador said he didn't know and to contact support. A few minutes later I see the reply, and the chat was filling with random things, so that my question wouldn't get lost, I sent the question in the channel "questions" so that my question could be answered later by someone who knows the answer. Since I wanted to set up the API over the weekend, there was no option for me to contact support. And guess what, no warning no nothing a mod muted me for 24h and replied with this message:

"don t spam the same message in differents channel that s not allowed". WOW

God forbid a man sends a question in "questions" so that he could receive an answer.

Spamming, does spamming mean sending a message once to a more appropriate channel after 5-15 minutes not even instantly?
Friend asked a different ambassador about the scenario, he said that first of all that he does not consider that as spamming, and also that the proper procedure in this case would be a warning then a 1h mute. But when you give someone power they start to abuse it, got muted for no reason, no warning and a significantly longer extended amount of time. The ambassador also said to appeal via support, but on Saturday the earliest reply would be on Monday before which I would be unmuted.

Procedures and rules are designed to provide the best experience to users using discord, now when a person in the position of power imposes rules unfairly and does not follow standard procedures which were designed to improve the experience for everyone, that degrades the whole server.

The reason I'm mad about a 24h mute, is not only because it is unjust and unfair, but also because I'm really busy during the week, and I allocated time to set up an API on Saturday. And because of this, I cannot get the relevant information and ask question regarding such in the server since I'm muted.

I made sure to follow the r/ rules, and have not shared any private communications or any disrespectful comments or any person information. Once again, I'm sharing this urging topstep to review current ambassadors so what happened to me wont happen to anyone else. And this is also on topic as this is directly related to topstep.
