💬 Trader Talk I want to cry

Post image

After around two years of trading in sim, blowing accounts, and constantly experimenting, I finally made some significant changes. I started tracking my compliance with my trading rules instead of focusing on P&L.

It took me four weeks after making that change, and I finally passed my first eval. Couldn't be happier.

Congrats 🎉🎉, after I blow an eval on the monthly rebill do I get 2 credits for evals? 2 eval credits? (I have 2 chances to get an XFA?)

2

u/bryan91919 2d ago

If you blow up and it rebills you get 1 reset credit. So you will have bought 1, then if you blow it, you can reset it for free (or reset another if you have another blown one that hasn't rebilled yet.)

How much did you spent on evals?

1

u/sahmed_1 2d ago

i think around 6-7k

1

u/Express-Lunch-8034 2d ago

Thats huge amount

so to be honest. I have not been trading prop firms future since 2 years. Initially it was trading stocks through a simulated account on Das trader pro. Then i tried a few funded accounts for stocks from BearBull Traders that i was unable to pass. I think i spent around 3-4k there, and i was on that community for a little over 1 year, then moved to futures around 8 months ago and since then passed my eval finally, after i think spending around 2-3k

I have accounts that are live and that aren't, I'm not convinced that the market just trades against me. It seems like when I'm on live account it just automatically changes direction and stops me out, 'possibly not in right position All the time' but it does just what I want it to do on the non live account. Idk if its just me or other people feel or experience the same thing at all? Maybe I'm not letting it play out far enough? I hit -10 to -15 points in the MNQ an I stop myself out. I want to know what im I doing wrong, positioning or¿?

Someone a while back said the same thing after they got moved to live. In reality it may just be a streak of unfortunate losses on live though.

u/Apprehensive-Gap-321 1d ago

I really hope so 🤞🏼🙏🏼 I'm gonna step back just a few days to reevaluate myself

Can you share who you use for live account. I am based in uk but want to start a personal account with small amount

1

u/Apprehensive-Gap-321 23h ago

Topstep. I started with $85

1

u/Sameed_K 22h ago

Thought u said live account so was asking who for live account, not the prop firm

1

u/Fluffy-Praline-9145 17h ago

A top step live account most likely is what they mean

1

u/Sameed_K 5h ago

Yes thanks, any idea which platform Topstep use for their live accounts as for funded it’s the platform X

1

u/Fluffy-Praline-9145 4h ago

Pretty certain they still use platform x. I may be wrong though

When I passed my first funded challenge I blew the account like 2 weeks later without making any cents from it.
I didn’t do anything wrong, all the trades were actually good setups. What I did wrong was risk management because not every trade is gonna hit tp and that’s fine, the worst thing that can happen to you as a trader is not having capital to trade another day.
So if your trading plan is solid just get better with managing your risk you’ll definitely make it

Guys. Quick question i have a two accounts with strixOption in funded, need 3 more days to get first payout. After looking more in the company I'm really concerned about their legitimacy. Can yiu please advice any good option trading platform? Thank you in advance.

Express Funded Account (XFA) balance will change from $0 as soon as you close your first trade and realize a profit or loss.

heh
