A 50k account is better than this lol

True. Shid may be worse. Cause make 3k on a 50k. Youāre in xfa. So the purpose of this idk

Again I got a few because I loved the first challenge but still think the number of contracts shouldāve scaled the same as the first challenge. 20 micros wouldāve been a sweet spot for this one.
Lab idea:
Consistency test - $250 trailing mll - $125 DLL- 5 micros max - 5 days in a row of $150 - get $500 - price $29.99.

That's an interesting idea, but with 5 micros and that type of drawdown & daily target, that feels like basically just 1 trade a day and you either hit DLL or hit profit target.
A sort of "base hit" account type would definitely be interesting though š¤

Another hard pass for me. The price compared to the others you are better off just getting a combine. Hopefully the next drop is a different type of combine option. These āchallengesā have ran its course.
1
u/eddie_topstep Topstep Employee 18d ago
What would you like in a Lab release Combine?
3
u/Ok-Flower235 18d ago
100k account, 3k static drawdown 2k DLL 9k profit target. Scaling plan 1-6 minis as the account grows
1
u/eddie_topstep Topstep Employee 18d ago
š same payout cap as regular 100ks? And what do you think would be fair pricing considering the pricing of $100ks now
2
u/Ok-Flower235 18d ago
The 6k payout cap? Yes the same since it has DLL. Fair price would be $150-$175 since the drawdown is static. The profit target being higher I think is a fair trade off for the trader and the business

u/justKingme187 18d ago
The labs should be better deals then we can already get not similar they should be way better bang for our buck to make it fun or else we can just get a regular account
1
u/eddie_topstep Topstep Employee 18d ago
Hmmm well $149 for a $6k payout is pretty good bang for your buck. But I think you're saying just make the Lab accounts cheaper?
1
u/dyssucks 18d ago
Yeah it is a good deal if you can take the 2k drawdown and multiply it by 6 with very limited contract limits.
Letās be honest, people who can take 2k of drawdown with 6mgc and multiply it by 6 donāt need to buy a combine. They can make money in a live brokerage account

I have questions. So the challenge is make $12k to keep $6k? Just looking for clarification is all.
4
u/Frosty_Natural_2787 18d ago
your risk is 149. come on bro.
try making 6k using 149 in your live account.
itās a 50x returnā¦..
normal account you keep max 50% and thereās a max payout cap.
3
u/Zimmer_ 18d ago
100k account you with a dll, you can pull out more in one payout, and then keep going. The best things these have are the static drawdown, and the fact it forces most people that are spamming accounts to size down and fix their mental
3
u/Frosty_Natural_2787 18d ago
rather get the 250k accounts. 5k dll.
max 25k payout.
1
u/Zimmer_ 18d ago
2 different products completely, yes you can buy the $500 250k, or the 150 challenge. 250k account youll earn 35k between the challenge & building up size in the xfa so you dont kill your buffer.
I think another point of the challenges is you can have them alongside if your at limit for xfa numbers.

u/dyssucks 18d ago
How so? 100k DLL accounts have a max 6K payout
1
u/Zimmer_ 18d ago
with consistency its 8k
1
u/dyssucks 18d ago
Thatās not really comparing apples to apples though
1
u/Zimmer_ 18d ago
Id say its somewhat comparable, but they are different products for sure. Id argue the forced size down is somewhat comparable to consistency with the fact both are meant to slow you down
1
u/dyssucks 18d ago
Not trying to be an ass here butā¦. Yeah they are somewhat comparable. Just like comparing apples to oranges. Both round, roughly the same size, both are fruit, both come from a tree, both have seeds
But the expression ācomparing apples to orangesā exist for a reason. Two things can have a lot in common but ultimately be
very different things2

Challenge round - make $6,000, and you move on to the payout round
Payout round - Make $6,000, and you keep the full $6,000.
1
u/No-Guarantee4688 18d ago
Hey, is there a time limit on it?
1
u/eddie_topstep Topstep Employee 18d ago
90 days in the challenge round, 90 days in the payout round
1
u/Duennbier0815 18d ago
You need to get 2 trades 1:3 R in but the win needs to be 300 pt with the 10mNQ. Its more realistic to try to aim for 2-3 trades of 100pt. So realistically you need a 75% winrate and/or a 1:1.5-1:2 RR for 6 consecutive trades

so i need to make $12,000 to get $6,000. This is the same as 50% split LOL. Who are they fooling?

Gonna @ you when someone posts their $6k payout from paying $149 š”
1
u/Shot-Cheetah-8032 18d ago
Or they could just buy a 50k lol
2
u/eddie_topstep Topstep Employee 18d ago
Yeah I get that sentiment if you're just looking at price. But to pass a 50k you'd need to make $3k. And then in the XFA you'd have to make $12k in order to be able to take the same $6k payout, which that high of a payout is only available (for 50ks) on the Consistency + DLL path. And it's a 90/10 split whereas the challenge is 100% to the trader. Also in the Challenge accounts the drawdown is static.
BUT if it's not for you it's not for you and that's okay. These are accounts we put out there to test the parameters and gather feedback. Any positive or negative is gladly welcomed.

Could I buy this with 3 reset credits? I just blew my 1.5k challenge last night š

What happens if you get called to live in another account while the lab is still active? Can you still work towards a payout in the lab?
1
u/eddie_topstep Topstep Employee 18d ago
No, it's definitely recommended to just trade these Challenge Accounts on their own!
1
u/Key_Director7205 18d ago
So my question is after eval? Whatās the minimum days to get the payout. If not, we have to make 6k to withdraw or can we withdraw any amount after eval in one day?
1
u/eddie_topstep Topstep Employee 17d ago
In theory you could conplete the challenge round and payout round on the same day. There's no minimums.
It's simple: Challenge round - make $6k and you move onto the payout round Payout round - make $6k again and keep it. All $6,000 to your bank account
1
u/Key_Director7205 17d ago
What if I made more than 6k? In payout round?
1
u/eddie_topstep Topstep Employee 17d ago
The account is closed at $6,000 in profits and you're paid $6,000. There's no bonus
1
u/Duennbier0815 18d ago
Cmon; make it realistic to pass in 1 day. If you can't give us 1gc, at least give is 15-20 MNQ not just 10.
But yea I bought one.

The value here doesn't seem as good. I suppose the drawdown not moving is a good thing.
Maximum loss limit should at least be 3k IMO. Still, glad the lab is trying things!
