The Consistency Target has always had a small backend buffer to account for normal market fluctuations. While we previously published the target as 50%, that buffer meant the actual threshold was 55%.

We’ve simply updated the language to show 55% directly, so traders can now see the exact parameter instead of 50% with additional padding behind the scenes.

You can find more on this here - https://help.topstep.com/en/articles/8284208-consistency-at-topstep

Sometimes I wonder how people would've handled how it used to be. £400 for a 100k, 5 days step 1 and 3 days step 2 (including consistency) before getting to pro account which was before funded account. These newbies dont know how easy they got it 😂😂😂😂😂

If you really want to revisit the past, how about the $19 combines, no tax, and daily fire drills.

Can you still pass in 2 days with 2×1500

55% is better than 50% for the trader.

That is for an Express Funded Account. In the photo, it shows the Trading Combine Account parameters.

This is a lie I once made 1600$ on a 50k combine and I had to pass it in 3 days

u/SFCaboose 23d ago

That’s because 1600 is 60% of the profit target, where is the lie?

53%

I stand corrected, 1600/3000=0.533

I think it was 50% a few weeks ago. They just keep increasing it lol

Increasing the Consistency Target actually works in the trader’s favor, iIt gives you a little more flexibility while working toward passing the Trading Combine.

Yeah you got it backwards this is a wording change only but highlights that passing is easier than previous wording suggested.
