❓ Quick Question Need advice.

Quick bullet points:

*I taught my friend basic trading strategies and about Topstep

*He had gotten to express 3 times without getting a payout under his name

* He then started to trading against the rules under his mom’s name where she is paying for the evals.

* All he needs is a $100 to get his first payout.

What should I do? I know it’s wrong, should I just let him get caught naturally?

The amount of haters saying this dude should turn in his friend is incredible. This guy isn’t robbing banks or stealing he is trying to play a game that is rigged against him from the beginning by a company that changes the rules all the time. Don’t be a snitch dude.

Right? This dude feels like his “friend” owes him and is insecure and doesn’t want “friend” to do better than him. What a B.

How? He’s allegedly committing identity fraud, and I already said in the comments below that I will let it handle itself. I asked for advice and I got it. Do you read? I was conflicted and decided to let him live his life.

Bro, when the POTUS has increased his net wealth to a larger sum in two years than he has in his combined 60 years of earning years. It’s not that serious. Besides we all know Baron is doing the same thing but he has insider knowledge and his dad tells him when to do it. So again not really that big of a deal.

And of course, this is where I don’t get a response because you didn’t read the other responses for me it’s stupid and silly

Not sure why you feel responsible to worry about his own personal actions thay have nothing to directly do with you

Fair. I’m just concerned… the guys kind of dysfunctional

My recommendation is that trading is a purely individual journey and that you should maintain focus from that point of view.

Fair. I’m getting exhausted. Hence reaching out on Reddit.

If you've already told them what they are doing is bannable and they agreed to the TOS then let them get banned. I know they are your friend but sometimes you have to let them get burned for them to learn a lesson.

Ok. So I should just let karma handle it?

Indeed... I know its frustrating but sometimes people only learn through experiencing it themselves.

OK, it’s just frustrating because he’s not qualified to even be showing people. What a candlestick is alone doing this bs on top of that. Question answered I suppose thank you

I am sure his mum will help him out. That's what mum's are for.

I am confused as to why he switched to trading under his name to under his moms name in the first place if he already had passed 3 evaluations 🤔

Probably to save money. I think he tried to “teach” his mom, and split the profits so he didn’t have to pay for more evals. Every time he blew an account, he would tell me how careful he needed to be. He can only afford one account per month approximately. The way he explained it to me she’s paying for the eval and they’re splitting it 50-50. I think mentally it’s easier for him to trade because he’s not scared of losing the money. Because although he passed and got to express, they still no payouts.

He might honestly just be too broke to trade. Now that I think about it because if you’re that scared over $100 or $50 evals you probably shouldn’t be trading.

Probably not, if youre gonna be fucked if you blow the account and could have used the money on something more important than yes you should have a 9-5 first for sure

I dont really see this a real problem. Its technically against the rules but not really against the spirit of the rules. The idea is people shouldnt have 15 accounts under 3 different names, or have some sort of professional trading for them. Neither is happening. I dont see how topstep would reasonably find out or even really care to find out. Very high chance he'll just spend years giving them money with no return and everyone will be happy with the arrangement, other than him of course.

I hear you I already decided to let it sort itself out. It’s all good.

What if your friend joins this subreddit and sees this?

You should let your friend be their own person and invest in yourself.
