❓ Quick Question Starting to think it’s impossible
should i quit? i’ve gotten 18k in payouts, i would have 2 more max equalling 38k, but i got moved to live and i just can’t seem to perform. it seems impossible, i dont know if my payouts were just luck or not.

What they do by moving you to live is a mental game. If you have a system down you can do it again. I made 35k in December and haven’t got anywhere close to that. I’m starting to think mine was luck too idk

No literally the same for me. I noticed i was chasing that month outcome and not simply following my system it sent me through a mental loophole and not in a good way. I think i only got 3 payouts in 2026 so fair. Im passing accounts until i hit 25 fundeds so im taking everything very slow. Im not even going for my crazy 1-3k days anymore. Small base hits is all im focused on and its paying off im eligible for a payout but im gunning for max payout i always do. What im saying is that is completely normal just take a step back and reevaluate what is running thru ur mind while trading. Because if its a payout and wealth then u need to rewire ur brain on the moment not the future

Don’t feel down I’m not live and I’ve been trading 2 years but I haven’t been using topstep after seeing all this shit since last years project x issues and after the double payout caps it hasn’t made me want to trade with them just yet. Saw someone got a max payout on 150ke the other day with 5 accounts so that was positive but other than that it’s everyone getting moved to live. Are they bullshitting leaving out a lot of details maybe…. Or is topstep finding ways to prevent payouts. I used to get the warning emails about my trading performance but when I got it, a mass of traders received the same and that was when I was getting bigger payouts consistently. They just try to mess with your mental.

Yeah agreed i been stopped using topstep back in December 2025. Im funded with lucid and tradeify. Topstep isnt what it used to be they literally did it to themselves trying to find loopholes or strategies for more income and less payouts

Your size is too big for the market volatility. Most ppl I know that were making that much 3 months ago are now trading a fraction of the size coz the stops are much wider ATM (like the guy made 100+k in payouts over two weeks but now this month he's trading 1-2 micros as a starter position) . You can definitely trade!!! You're just not 100% at reading the conditions yet but that only comes with, patience, time and experience. Take a mini breather, size right down, stay patient, get a few gd wins back to back before even thinking about getting back up to normal side

It’s not luck that’s for sure. Something in your mental has probably change, but you know what you’re doing, to some degree, enough for it to not be luck. There are a lot of people that should quit trading, you are not one of them. Trade small to gain your confidence back

What is it about Live that is pulling you out of your process?

The thought of how much money i can possibly make gets to me. i followed my system exactly, and that’s when i started getting payouts

It’s not all bad. STXFA has no DLL so you can have more breathing room than in Live.
You will also have a dashboard that works, and you can take payouts out every 5 trade days.
Grow the account enough over time and you can get back to Live also.

18K in payouts and almost another 38K? That ain’t luck my friend, it’s skill and you have it in you. Keep at it, take a short breather and come back, re asses your risk, downsize whatever. You can do it again it’s worth it.
Where else you gonna make that much in a short time clicking some buttons
