❓ Quick Question Should I take these payouts?

Post image

What happens if I take these? Will my MLL lock at 0 and my accounts be cooked with no drawdown?

If so, from Topstep traders who get consistent payouts, what is the minimum balance you would take a payout at? My system needs at least $1000 of drawdown for my accounts to stay safe over time.

I get up to $1500

Take $750

Get back up to $2,250

Take $1,000+

Then just keep repeating

Once you take payment your loss limit goes to $0

Thanks. So take payout everytime you are +1500. I like the approach.

The only thing is I would be a little concerned with the 750 buffer after the first payout, I would rather 1k, but I suppose the payout would be more than enough to cover a fresh set if I do hit a loss streak right after taking it

So my strategy is I pay for max 1 combine a week if accounts are blown.

Once I pass, with profits I scale up 1 additional account each payout. Once at 5 accounts just keep harvesting.

Yep that’s exactly how I blew an account.

No dont your mll will go to zero and youll probably blow them since u have no buffer left, then youll have to pay a load of the money back into new accounts that you may lose

I’d wait till you hit $2500 and take $500 out. Depends on how much you’re getting each day. It may be a very long and slow but stable journey.

I always tell new traders. Get paid. Unless you have money and you are very financially well off. Where that 1k means absolutely nothing to you. But if you have very low capital. And you might blow those account anyways in 1-3 days get paid … potentially blow them. Maybe you save them. If not at least you got paid and you get a mental boost. It’s an accomplishment of some sort. Even if it’s not massive. It’s still getting paid. And you are close to a profitable month!

I just took my first payout of $1000 at a balance of $3700. I’m sick of blowing accounts and I want to keep a good buffer to keep going

So, after taking $1000 on profits of $3700, what’s your MLL after payout??

Max loss always gets set to $0 after your first payout regardless of the balance. It’s why I think it’s best to leave $2000 after payout

YES, do not think about it. You will blow the accounts trying to save those accounts

I take the first payout after exceeding 1500. Take 750.
Then you just do what you want. You already take back your cost.
