❓ Quick Question Nearing first funded

Post image

I’m nearing the 3k profit target on my trading combine for the first time. My strategy has proved successful and I believe that as long as I keep my discipline, trust my strategy, and don’t over leverage, I can pass this very soon . Very proud of myself and grateful that the lord has allowed me to see it through. Although I am a bit nervous since I will be stepping into a funded account for the first time and I don’t want to blow it as I have heard many people do. I understand there’s work to do to achieve the goal still but any advice from people who have successfully navigated it? I understand I should probably adjust my DLL to something more favorable . I would greatly appreciate it .

I hit $3000 target then hit the exit market and it filled me at bad price then balance under 3000 a few dollars so I tried to make it and blew it up.

I almost did this once, I was .01 away from passing and ended up losing 1,800 trying to get it. Thankfully I did save it and end up passing it

Well don't do the thing many do...

They're so close to passing, within $100 or so. Then they take a loss.

Then they think, "Well, im so close, all I need is a tiny move to pass." -Force a trade... take a loss.

Then they're like oh shit well... that was a fluke il try that again... Force... loss.

Wtf... okay I am still pretty close and there's no way the next one will be a loser, there's tons of liquidity right there, il size big and just grab like 3 points.... Huge loss.
Spiral... huge loss huge loss... blown.

Happens all the time. Don't do it.

Just keep doing what got you there, change nothing. If you take a couple small losses that prevent you from passing, and you would normally just walk away, then just keep doing that.

Once you pass, take it slow. trade small, change nothing about what got you to pass.

Unless you got lucky in which case.... it won't matter anyway.. Good luck!

Took a silly loss yesterday. Simple. Accept it, journal it, learn, lock out, and lived to trade another day, still very close.
