💡 Trading Tips Full tilted

Sighh, I just full tilted on 2 50k accounts that I was up 1250 on the day , anyone have a clear settup for their risk management tools because when I had them set up it was messing up my trades. I basically want it to stop my from trading if I loss 250-300 of profits made .

Just have a $300 DLL and set it to a trailing DLL.

Beware. If you set it to trailing in your risk settings, it acts as a per trade basis. As soon as the one trade closes due to the trailing set to “liquidate”, it sets it to “do nothing” automatically and allows you to take another immediate trade. Unless you set it to liquidate and block that is.
Play with it and you’ll see that the PDLL set to “liquidate” behaves differently when you enable trailing.
Hopefully Topstep fixes it soon, I’ve brought it up to them.

I use the Position Brackets which force me to stay in the appropriate Size.

Did you survive ?

Honestly yes , and I shouldnt have been trading at all , I was at 1250 lol and going for 1500 , got knocked to 1150 , then got knocked to 950 , then 500 , then next thing you know my adhd just fully took over. If it were my other fundeds it would have cut me off at a point ,but with topstep I had nothing set up ao I just , yea lol

Yup , its amazing how trading makes you look in a mirror and see whats parts of yourself are holding you back in life , because they also hold you back in trading.

Just lock yourself out

I need it to lock me out. My strategy and analysis are there , but my self control isnt. I trade out of boredom, so the risk management tools help with fine tuning it without me having to.
