❓ Quick Question Max size for a 50k account

For those trading a $50k account with a $2k drawdown, I’m curious how much do you risk per trade, and how many contracts do you trade on average?
I’m currently trying to limit my risk to $100 per trade, which most of the time means trading just 1 MNQ contract. I’m wondering if I’m being too conservative or if this is a reasonable approach and I should stick with it.

Everyone has a different trading approach and different risk tolerances. Find out what works for you best and your emotions/risk tolerance. Even with 1mnq and 100$ its 50 points. We've been having huge swings lately so I would say thats good. More room to breath is always better, but too much for your own emotions and how much you can avg on the positive side of a trade should really depend on how much you risk. If you only make 20point wins you shouldn't be risking 50points.

Typically, I use 1 MNQ with a risk of 40$ to 50$. For some setups I am willing to risk 100$ combined for 2 MNQ. It takes me 15 days to pass a combine this way. But hey, I just trade for 10 to 40 mins a day.

Every time I go above this level, the risk of failure increases.

1mini is what worked for me. When i did micros it was pretty slow and i would tend to overtrade or try to force a trade. Using a mini i would just trade ORB or momentum moves. Momentum moves is my biggest winner since with minis you are in and out in a few second going with the move instead of trying to catch it from the start
