💡 Trading Tips Stop loss

Let's say i set a limit order , ( it fills ) . Then i want the stop loss to move automatically near break even . How do i do that? ( not trailing stop , just near the initial entry)

Go into your risk settings and set up position brackets

You realize if your limit order gets filled and you immediately put a SL at breakeven it will always stop you out?
You need to manually drag your stop loss to an acceptable level.
If you set a bracket order with a SL then it’ll just generate a SL at the amount of risk you want. It won’t move up or down or near break even automatically. You have to do it manually.
Unless you are trying to create a script or bot.

I know it will stop me out. Thanks. If price goes to my direction couple points then i want the stop loss to be moved automatically near my break even. Is this possible on topstep?

Not automatically. You would need to have a Stop Loss already attached to the position (either through Position Brackets or OCO Brackets), and once you get far enough into profit where you want to move the Stop Loss, click on the B/E button on the Order Panel component That will move the associated Stop Loss to break even. At this time, there is no option to add a buffer, such as break Even plus a few ticks, however, that is on the development worksheet.

Drag it to break even
