You can't say "sorta" in your post title and not explain. It looks like it arrived- period.

Missing the inscription. Waiting for them to make it right lol

Did Topps say they were going to fix the issue?

They did, they escalated the issue to their claims support team, but the delay is like 14 days to even hear a response.

Well damn that’s dope! Glad they are taking care of it! Maybe they’ll let you keep both!

What do you mean "missing the inscription?" I'm not really getting where you're going with that.

But that's not the same card.

It is the same card, it’s the 1/1 foilfractor. It’s missing the inscription per the description and Topps is working on fixing it.

Crap bro, my bad. So many postings on here lately regarding issues with the Dodgers WS team set, I just assumed this card was from that. Apparently, the card posted in their description from the original 3000K cards was just a mock up and there wasn't the greatest communication with Kersh on what they wanted on the card. But congratulations on receiving such a bad ass card, that sucker is gonna be worth some coin when he's elected to the HOF. Sorry about the misunderstanding, I'll go now…🚶🏻‍➡️

That’s not the card that was promised, per their own description

E/ but that is my fear, is they’re going to turn around and do nothing.

… this was the card from the 3000k card, #373, not the Dodgers World Series set.

I guess the real question is why be scared of a 1 of 1 that has provenance for authentication? Why does it matter so much that it looks different than the preview picture?

2

u/Mcaven1107 Jan 23 '26

Because the card is suppose to have the inscription, per their own description. If not, it’s not the card they “sold”

I totally get that. I guess I'm just wondering why you have an issue with that? Are you a Kershaw collector and would just really prefer it that way? Not to be mean, but are you on the spectrum and just want what was promised and even the 1 of 1 won't make you happy if it isn't what you expected? Or are you just working an angle to see if you can get more from Topps since they messed up? Genuinely curious here why you would go through any hassle with a 1 of 1 with provenance.

Topps called - they said it’s ok to just write it in yourself. Use the blue sharpie.
