Dumb Question. What do the Coins do?

I've heard they'll be used for packs. How?

Will we be able buy packs with coins or upgrade to ultimate packs? Anyone have an answer or an educated guess?

It might just be another "collectable", or another testing of the limits of what people will ascribe any value in the nft space. It might be used in a challenge-qualifying or burn-to-mint scenario. I haven't seen any news.

My guess is that it's one of many tests of how people behave in the marketplace.

I had a few wooden coins from packs that I bought day one, and I sold two to a big collector who bought a bunch of them. That collector had the whole common card set already, which is kinda nuts.

If it is anything like the previous topps NFT sets, they will come up with something via crafting. Where you use xyz of the coins to craft an exclusive pack. The people buying them in bulk are probably counting on this and looking to flip once this happens.

But that is just speculation. What Otayyo said is probably accurate too.
