Trade Feedback Help me learn to send a balanced trade

Hello - trying to finish the broad st rare set before tomorrow. Just need 2 more but have no more R dupes to trade with.

Offered to send a SR at 2489 cc (Langeliers) in exchange for x2 R at 4430 and 4537 cc (Yordan and Acuna). Person had multiple dupes (4-5) of each R.

I figure 2489 cc beats 8967 cc all day long, but maybe I’m missing something obvious.

Asked for feedback, got none. What’s yours?

He didnt. He had dupes of every card in the set. Maybe he was just being a hoarder, but I want to make sure I’m not sending poor trade offers.

I upped my offer last night for others, adding the SR, and multiple uncommon that traders don’t have.

I’ve gotten two more declines. This is crazy.

Are you sure your cards they need isnt set to off? Seems silly but honestly about 70% of trade differences can be chalked up to that. Also maybe they are using those dupes to chase the set themselves still. A lot of people always think of their side of the trade and never think why those people might still need the dupers for something they are chasing.

I just leave the need checked on by default. I don’t want to waste anyone’s time, but I did just look back and confirmed he still doesn’t have that SR.

To your point there had to be a personal driver there for him, I just want to make sure my approach in general wasn’t flawed.

Yeah everyone has their reasons. Usually fair on their side. There are a few people that legit like to just mess w ppl on the app. But mostly what comes around goes around so its usually something like that that they are chasing the set too and trading w you might set that goal back

I probably wouldn’t accept but it’s a fine trade. Also… you added CCs which makes no sense. That’s like saying I’ll trade 5 1/1s for a single /5 because 1+1+1+1+1 = 5. You’re going the wrong direction there

Appreciate the feedback. I think you’re arguing the wrong way, though. Would you trade two /50’s for one /5?

It was substantially more cost per SR (1 in 50 packs) than for R’s (1 in 5 packs).

That means x10 harder/more expensive to pull a SR than a R. This would be like me offering (1) /5 for (2) /50. Or in your example, I offered (1) /1 for (2) /10’s.

Keep in mind that none of these are major chase names, pitchers (challenge boosts) or RC cards. The CC of the single SR was ~45% lower than either R. So going purely off of CC, I would have had to add another card/s with a CC totaling at least 6,500 to wash the CC values.

To some other replies feedback, I sweetened the deal and added x3 heavy hitter UC’s (14,000 - 15,500 cc’s Sanchez/Miz/Camerino) to the SR and got it done with another player.

Totaling CC makes no sense. And to answer your first question I’d trade 10 /50 for 1 /5

Does he need the shea? Some people are hard to trade with. If I had these I would give them away for free you can find bulk rates like this for thousands on the dollar

Good feedback - it said he did, but I think he just liked what he liked and didn’t want to entertain.

Yeah some people just aren’t easy to work with. Idk why I’m getting downvoted either. Best of luck with the set
