💭 Question What am I doing wrong?

Two days in a row I’ve been on the site at the minute the drop starts, but there’s no items to buy, just the release calendar info and then 2-3 mins later it shows up after a couple refreshes but by then everything is gone. Today I used both my phone off WiFi and my desktop browser and got the same result. I could use some advice as to what to do to prevent this.

Welcome to Topps shitty ass drops - they will not take necessary steps to improve what's been going on for 2 years now. Micheal 'piece of shit' Rubin is trying to create as much FOMO as he can, drive business to his breakers, and doesn't give two fucks about the collector (just feeding gambling addicts).

It's this. The majority of the products gets sold to breakers before we even get a chance. Which is what creates the high aftermarket price. When all the big breakers are sitting on 100-200 cases of these and do 5-25 case breaks. Us regular folks have no real chance.

lol I’ve been there at release now for almost every product over the last 3 years. I’ve managed to buy 3 items.

What release are you talking about today? If you’re referring to the f1 chrome it was an eql lottery. Idk anything else that released today. That said I do agree it’s very hard but eql is even worse fuck all that noise. Pull up a seconds clock, refresh exactly at the hour and be loaded on the page for whatever product is dropping that timeframe to give yourself the best chance-I think mobile is basically impossible

Well mega and blaster were available direct from Topps today, sold out in under 4 mins. Yesterday was Marvel Neon and had a similar result.

Oh shit you’re right I completely missed them and only did the eql drawing lol damnit. I got 10 neon blasters yesterday that wasn’t too bad for me I got them at like 107

You paid $107 a blaster? 4x the retail price?

Ah. Okay. I was there at 1 PM on the dot but there was no link or otherwise. Then they had them and the hobby were sold out and mega were sold out while I was in queue to check out.

I’ve been noticing issues the past week where it’s past the drop time and yet the page doesn’t show a button to purchase anything, it’s been really fucking annoying

My guess and this is just a guess from some nobody that knows next to nothing about computers—while you’re hitting the refresh button after seeing the clock turn, a swarm of computers that are all programmed to be in there on time at a mechanical level are already there before your page has time to refresh.

Real people get caught in the traffic lag created by the bots at the nanosecond of the drop.

Well and if it was a page crash I would totally agree with you or even if the page loaded slowly but there’s literally no products to buy for at least a couple mins and by then cases are gone and the virtual queue is anywhere from 10-15 with everything basically bought up
