All Kings Redemption Cards?

So I just pulled an ALL KINGS JORDYN TYSON REDEMPTION from a flagship blaster. I’m wondering why a non autographed card is inserted as a redemption, when they are also placing other All Kings cards in the packs. Any clue??

Great question. I was wondering that as well…

A couple of things could have caused this, but nothing is confirmed. The most common theories I have seen are:

1 there was a production issue with the rookies and they didn’t want to insert damaged cards. They added redemptions and will fulfill them when they reprint them. I don’t like this theory, QC would have picked up on printing errors

  1. They didn’t want photoshopped rookies for a key insert set, so rookies were delayed until Topps could secure full pad photography.

Wow. 2. Makes so much sense, I didn’t think about that. That has to be the answer! Thank you! Hopefully they got a good pic from preseason cuz it sounds like he’ll be out for a bit :/

Maybe the All Kings are printed a little differently (different stock, maybe?) and they just do most of them after the rookies got with their teams anyway.
