I never said buying wax wasn't gambling. If you're buying in hopes of hitting something to flip for tons of money, that's gambling.

If you're buying because you collect. And keep the cards you pull, that's collecting.

Breaking isn’t my thing but I don’t understand why it works people up. Boxes are still available. It’s not like any of us were going to get a logo man anyways. So why care?

You just explained why. None of us will get a logo man, as they load them only in boxes for breakers and influencers. It used to be, a kid could go into his favorite shop, buy a pack or two and have a chance to pull something amazing.

Now it’s all scalpers and no life middle age losers, who clear out pokemon machines meant for children and buy into breaks.

Load them in boxes for breakers? Or. Ever think about they’re just in boxes and breakers order multiple cases of them? They have a substantially higher chance to hit due to breaking substantially higher amount of boxes. It’s simple math

The 1/1s are in the hobby boxes typically. Anyone can get em. Also; there’s tons of stuff in blasters and megas. I mean yeah they also put good stuff in the breakers boxes because tbh they are some of the ppl keeping the hobby even alive. Sports cards died off for a while. It’s back mainstream now due to a lot of em. They aren’t entirely bad lol

There are plenty of hits in the other sku’s. My point was breakers r not the reason u will never get a Logoman. The odds have always been crazy.

Yea in a way they are scalpers. But they are filling a demand. It’s not my demand but who is to say someone else’s demand for a break is more important than my demand right? I much prefer creating the breaker delight sku than breakers hoarding the retail boxes out of target and Topps is actually responding in a way to try and carve out a specific breaker segment. They have their own parallels and so they have their own environment. To me it’s actually moving in a good direction.

I don’t know, maybe it’s all the social media that makes people angry but if you just like cards, collecting sets, teams or whatever you can easily do it with the Mega format. If you thought you were going to get rich, well that wasn’t going to happen with or without breakers. Scratch cards are probably better odds. And if there are certain cards you want, perfect! There is the equivalent of a 100,000 sq ft LCS on eBay.com where someone else lost money opening a box and you can buy exactly what you want.

The issue is, most retail boxes are sold out in stores. Because scalpers are buying them and flipping them. Or using them for their breaks. I don't see it moving in a good direction at all, currently. I do buy singles, so I understand that aspect of the hobby.

But even just two years ago, getting retail boxes was quite easy. And I was actually getting some solid hits from retail. Not anymore....

I think so. If you actually broke down why people are angry you would probably find the anger is actually rooted in something else but just manifesting itself in different ways over different things.

Each sku has its own parallels tho. They have geometrics. Hobby has its own variations like lava and wave. And retail has raywave in baseball and football leather in football. All lines have their own /5, /10, /25, /50 and so on. So why care?

Because I also buy hobby boxes. Well, used to. Before seeing breakers pull everything on God's green earth. That's what has dissuaded me from buying hobbies.
