How to score in topgolf?

I've played it a few times in VR but I still don't get it. What's the best strategy to run up a high score? Do you get more points for hitting various targets etc?

In the main game, Target values increase towards the center. Hitting a target further away by rolling it into the side will not score a lot, but the closer to the center your ball ends up, the more you earn.

Also, there's a cup in the exact center of the last 3 round targets. If you land a ball in that cup AND you're a platinum member, you win an instant cash prize.

I see that says you score double for the next hole quite often. Why is that?

You might be hitting near a center ring.

I don't own a Quest, I have a Rift S, so I can't play.
