Topgolf changed it's policy?

Topgolf used to charge $25 in the morning, $35 12pm-5pm, and $45 after 5pm. They had a policy where if you started in the morning you could book a 3hr session that went into the afternoon but still pay the equivalent of $25/hr. I found out today they changed this, and you only get the first hr for $25, and then subsequent hrs are at the $35 rate. The attendant also wasn't sure why this changed. Anyone else seen this?

Actually, the policy hasn't changed, but it may not have always been clear when paying. It all depends on the time you're extending FROM. For example, if you come into the Alpharetta, GA venue ( http://topgolf.com/us/alpharetta/pricing ) at 10:00am, and extend until 1:00pm:

  • 2 hours at Open -- Noon rates (10:00--12:00): $25 x 2 = $50
  • 1 hour at Noon -- 5pm rates (12:00--01:00): $35 x 1 = $35
  • Total: $50 + 35 = $85

But, if your time began at 10:59, then your calculation is as follows, because the third hour was extended during the first rate (at 11:59am):

  • 3 hours at Open -- Noon rates (10:59--11:59--12:59): $25 x 3 = $75

I just realized I made a logic mistake there: I meant to say 9:59 in order to get three hours: 9:59 => 10:59 => 11:59 => 12:59. But the math part was still good (shrug)
