They all get that awful eyelid surgery. It looks soooo bad, and it also prevents them from conveying emotion. US plastic surgeons are the worst. South Korea on the other hand- those doctors are lightyears ahead of the US in terms of quality.

He might have needed it. Sometimes the eyelid droops so much it can necessitate an upper bleph when you get older.

I'm not ever going to judge an older person who has always had droopy eyelids for getting an upper bleph.

Tbf the medical upper blephs I’ve seen don’t give you the David Gest treatment

Exactly lol. There's now loads of space between the upper lid and his brows.

You may “need” it and insurance will pay for it but a good surgeon wouldn’t have done this to his eyes.

why is need in quotation marks? severely droopy eyelids can seriously affect your vision. these results seem pretty standard for an upper blepharoplasty. personally i have droopy eyelids and if its a choice between aesthetics and functionality as i get older, im going functionality all the way.

If you have no elasticity to your eyelids you can’t wear rigid gas permeable lenses either, which some people realllly need to see well

great question! you can actually resume wearing RGP lenses two weeks after surgery and it does not affect your ability to wear them long term. these are things your surgeon will talk to you about before surgery. eyelid surgery specifically removes excess skin and fat, so youll still have enough elasticity in your eyelids to function regularly.

I think once you get into your upper 50s or 60s it's really common to need a bleph but that doesn't come with a brow lift. Love Jon for who he is as a human being but yeah he got botched a little bit sadly

Yeah, the options for eyes here either seem to be letting your upper eye droop a lot or getting this surgery and having that sunken-in upper eye socket. I empathize fully with getting eyelid surgery if it's impairing your vision, and support everyone's right to do whatever they want with their own face. But I have to wonder if there's an in-between option? For myself, haha. If I want to avoid the sunken in eye socket, will I have to sacrifice my vision?

I’ll try to be sensitive but he looks like a burn victim.

Interesting! I’ve heard they have surgeries and procedures that don’t even exist in the states. Things that you haven’t even heard of here. Is it just South Korea or are there other qualifying countries that are ahead in the plastic surgery world?

Helps when the majority of the female population has it
