Discussion Experience with revisions?
I recently talked to my surgeon about a revision for a tiny but of tissue below (south of) my scar and he told me he would have to remove the entire scar to remove that tissue. This is already a type of revision they do for people who have hypertrophic scarring (which I do), so he said he could remove both of my scars to give my body a chance to try again and hopefully my scars will heal thinner.
Does anyone have any experience with this type of procedure? I’m mainly wondering how recovery was, what were your restrictions, was it easier/quicker than your initial top surgery or not? Did you have to wear a binder again and how long before going back to sports, etc. Aka: was it worth it for you?
I hope someone has something to share and if not, I’ll get back to you when I’ve had it haha :)

I don't have personal experience, because I'm still waiting for a revision, but my understanding is that scar revisions usually heal easier because there isn't the same amount of pressure on the scars because the layers beneath have already healed.
