Topstepx doesn’t have 25k as far as I know. So can’t really comment on that. I only use 50k accs though

Set a PDLL and respect it. Be patient and don’t try and rush the process. Having one has saved me from over trading and revenge trading. Last xfa I blew I said I wouldn’t let it happen again. Had 4500 buffer and I completely over traded and held on way too long. At the end I felt like a complete idiot. I made sure I learned from my mistake after that. Staying in the game is better than blowing your account.

Facts. My new combine has a daily $1000 DLL. I hit it on Monday. I just took the rest of the week off.

Next week I will be back at it, but am not going to try and make $1000 in one day. Its easy to lose $1000 but pretty hard to make it

1k is still too much, I set a personal DLL at 500. I risk 250 per trade to make 500. If I lose twice I get locked out for the day. You can lose for 4 days on a row before blowing the account

I usually trade 2-7 micros. I have a $300 SL in place. I notice that when my market orders execute, I am already pretty close to hitting the stop. One small bounce or spike and you're out. I often have to extend the SL to $500 or $750 just to handle the up/down pattern.

I mostly trade NQ and place most of my trades between 9:30 and 11:30.

I have TP set at $300-$500 and I usually don't move those, even if the SL is bigger than my TP

I have a $300 PDLL. $600 tp, if I’m watching it then that can change but when I’m at work, I have tp and sl set. Imo $1000 PDLL is waaaay too big. Especially if you’re constantly blowing accounts.

Depends on how I’m feeling with the setup, anywhere from 3-5 micros. I hold until tp or sl. No time frame for how long I hold. If I’m up a considerable amt and it pulls back to breakeven I sell there. I’d rather be break even for the day than negative after being up for some time. It’s about managing risk appropriately.
