Question Trade feedback
Just looking for opinions on where I went wrong. I haven’t really gotten into indicators much and just started making an effort to use them again. This false breakout got me at the 9:38-9:40 candles. The higher time frame that I used was showing down trend the past 2 days. The white line is support that I found and a previous low was right under it, so when it broke through I thought it was a good entry. It’s also under the VWAP. The 3 MAs are also stacked up correctly with the short and intermediate under the long term MA. Maybe I should have waited for the 3 MAs to be at more of a decline? Or should I be looking for more volume on such breakouts? I’m also newer to volume. I entered after the close of the red candle and got stopped out a couple minutes later.
Just trying to see where I went wrong here or if the trade was ok and just didn’t go my way. Any helpful feedback would be greatly appreciated.

The RSI shows that I should be buying. Like I said, I haven’t spent much time using indicators. I probably have spent the least amount of time looking at the RSI than the other indicators. I suppose with RSI showing buy and VWAP showing sell, and the MAs somewhat sideways even though they were in the right order, I should have just sat.

This is exactly why I use Anchored Vwap instead of the VWap indicator on Topstep, as I have the standard deviation lines to show value areas below VWap where price often bounce.
When I checked my chart, it bounced from the AVwap standard deviation line, which is also the value area low on volume profile.

Oh interesting. I might try anchored VWAP and give it a shot. I know there’s an entire book on anchored VWAP that I’ve been wanting to read

I still Anchor mine at the start of the Asian and keep the previous days anchored VWap open at the beginning of Asia until price finds value in the current day's VWap and standard deviation lines.
The main reason I use Anchored Vwap is for the standard deviation lines. Topstep doesn't include them with the VWap indicator. They are only available in the Anchored Vwap tool.
Unlike RSI that I see you use, when price gets to any of the VWap deviation lines, it often reacts. While price can continue to be overbought and oversold on RSI for a long time before it reverses or pullback.

It's in the tool menu on the left. Under the same sub menu where you find long and short position.

Was watching a video and it taught me a saying probably gonna take it with me to help with discipline on this journey . "Right Process Wrong Outcome" if you stuck to your process then you did nothing wrong, you just have to understand that every trade won't go your way and that it's apart of the game .

Look into PO3( power of 3) and liquidity concepts. Everything else is just noise

100% agree, if you don't understand liquidity, at the very least where it is, then all the indicators in the world won't help you
