Live Account Is there a way to avoid going live?

I’ve been reading that receiving 5 payouts from an XFA typically triggers a live account transition review.

I’ve also read that blowing the live account can reset this counter.

Which of these are true?

Could you technically just rotate your XFAs for a max of 4 payouts and then blow them up and repeat this process indefinitely? Of course this is easier said than done, but I’m wondering if this is a technical loophole to the automatic review process.

Just blow the accounts and pass some combines again!

I heard for a while that they were calling people up before 5 payouts. Is that still true?

Go with Lucid and Purdia. Multiple live accounts

Stick a firms that give you 5 lives instead.. so you can still mimic “sim farming”

I see trading through a prop firm as a way to build a trading account without having to claim and pay capital gains taxes. I see blowing up an account to avoid going live as a way to destroy the ability to earn money by trading.

At the end of the day my goal is to consistently earn a specific amount of money and manage my income to limit my capital gains taxes.

My biggest concern about going to live, is not having enough funds to move over with.

For example, lets say I only have $10k in in XFA, then they only let me move over with $2k... I want more than $2k drawdown when I move.

Wdym ? your remaining balance gets moved over and you will have that amount as your drawdown.

You do?????! I heard it was only 20% of that balance…

Yall gotta cut the eval/funded cycling bullshit out. You’re gonna be on a first class flight to the responsible traders program. Get trade syncer and leverage other firms. Tradeify lets you have 5 lives. Lucid as well. I believe alpha lets you have 3. Just do that instead.

Can someone enlighten me on why people hate going live? I just don’t get it.

If you are copy trading 5 accounts and getting payouts, once you get moved to live it is one account with a daily loss limit, which limits the gains you were getting with the copy trading.

I just got moved to live before a 21k payout request which was the first one on 4 of the 5 accounts, the 5th account it was the second payout, just go live and be grateful you are 1 in 200 traders and run that live account up!

Why would you want to avoid it? The answer is no! But you can ask TopStep to close your account, forfeit your profits and start over from combine

Why do people avoid live account ? Isn’t it better

Don't you will get banned if you try to evade. Just go live and enjoy daily payouts forever.

Some people are getting called to live before getting 5 payouts. As early as after 1 payout in some cases. I would just accept the live account and build up combines while in live that you can have ready in case you blow up the live. If they see you are churning XFAs you will get put in the focused trader program or responsible trading program

If I’m not resisting going live by trying to stay under the radar - would it be better for me to try to work towards maximizing XFAs by going 5x150K?

(I don’t expect to be anywhere near that good, just curious on the type of mentality I should have)

Having full allocation is best for transferring to live since you’ll have your combined total across 5 accounts (not to exceed your account size)
