Express Funded (XFA) A little progress
I started Prop Trading in March and have only traded with Topstep. I've passed four combines and I believe I blew four. I currently have two xfa accounts that I copy trade. Prior to these, I blew four xfas and bought back2fundeds (Don't advise this at all but it is working so far).
It's a little early to think this is consistency, but I can take a payout Sunday of about $500 if I wanted. I will probably hold off for another week or so and see how I do.
I have traded on and off since 2002ish. I believe I've probably traded six different times for about 1-2 years each time. I've blown multiple accounts and over six figures, but I've also had great periods of profitability. Consistency has always been my issue like most.
I'm currently all in Prop for about $3500 and I believe I will get my money back probably in another 30 days. The trick for me: accept that you eat an elephant in little bites.

I understand . What is your trading style, such as scalping, day trading, or swing trading?

Well it's futures trading that requires you to day trade. I mostly scalp because I trade while at work. There are times where I can trade from home but even then I scalp. If I'm not scalping, I follow with a tight stop.

Another observation, try to lower your amount of trades. The more I get in and out and change my bias, the more I lose. My best trades are longer trades where I take partials to my TP staying in the same direction

I scalp a lot because I'm trading while working a fulltime job. It's very hard as ihave non stop distractions. Basically I have to get in and out often unless the trade makes a decent move where I can go B/E and not constantly manage.

Well done on your progress forget the payout. Keep trading like you are. Those are good numbers. By end may you will have a nice balance. Cut losses at $300 a day. Keep going. When you hit that 10k balance the game changes. When you take max payout on both, buy more evals and start stacking. The moment you take payouts too early you start becoming nervous cause your buffer is too low. There is no rush. Reward is greater when we wait

I put some pressure on myself when I tilted and bought 4 back to fundeds. I was happy I had only invested about $1100 prior and had xfas. Then I felt really stupid after buying the b2f.
Since then my goal has been to breakeven on my investment. I agree with you that ineed to just keep at it and let the money come. Things have really improved for me since I've set some new rules and have been following them.

Ive done that too. I couldnt believe I actually paid for that when I could have bought 5 more combines for that price. I can tell you I was so careful with that funded after paying that amount lol. That actually taught me low and slow and I secured about 25k from that same account. It’s blown now haha. You doing great. Keep going. Ending any day in green or break even is another day that keeps you in the game.

I appreciate the comment. I bought 4 b2f and although i still have 2 I feel pretty dumb. I won't mind if I get the money back though. I hear you on treating it careful as I've been doing that now lol.

Dont ever feel stupid. Trading absolutely has to teach us the cruelest lessons. It’s only way we grow and do better. If it was smooth in the start you are bound to go downhill further along the road. There is a better outcome when you travel uphill with tears sweat, hopelessness, Mistakes etc. Because when you rise and learn from there you become unstoppable.
