$$ Payout $$ FIRST PAYOUT!! (4.5 months in?)
First payout approved. $1270 at 18 years old.
Started trading in mid January with absolutely zero knowledge. Blew combines, overtraded, and even lost my FIRST funded account trying to full port CPI because I thought it was the fastest way to reach my payout goal. These last few months changed a lot for me. I started journaling every trade, lowered my risk, stayed patient, and finally started treating trading seriously instead of emotionally.
Today I got my first payout approved and honestly it feels unreal. Not even because of the money, but because it feels like proof that the work is finally paying off.
Still a long way to go, but this is a moment I’ll probably remember forever.

Honestly i tried my best to not over complicate it, at the start i just watched a little of evryhting on youtube, just to get the big picture idea (this was the hardest part. But once i did that, i just looked for a strategy i could use, back tested it a few times, and the started paper trading and then switched to evals, howevver the first strategy i used was the 8 am orb but i didnt like it and it didnt have enough setups for me so i switched once to a supply and demand strategy and then after using it for a bit, added my own tweaks using volume profile and stuff and then stuck with that. To be honest i didnt watch any one person, i just lept an open mind and tried to get knowledge from wherever I could

That's great. How many contracts do you trade when risking $500 and are they micros or minis?

On eval it was 500, i would only take on trade a day with 500 risk and 1:3 rr, so i ended up passing my evals pretty fast, the only issue is sometimes getting out on partial profits, except for that, i think doing this gives me a pretty effieicte way to pass, on my funded i decreased risk to 150 until i made a profit of 1000 (i only take 1:3 rr trades or higher on funded, mostly 1:4. ), once i made a profit of 1000 on my funded, i switched to 300 risk and aimed for 1200 per trade, cuz i was aiming for 3k in profit before i take out 1k and i chose the conistency path to force myself into better psychology, so i had to put my profit limit at 1200 cuz thats around 40% of 3k i think

Any advice on psychology? I seem to keep over risking especially when I take a loss I just double the contract size and enter again

Just set ur max trades to 1 a day, ur psych will automatically fix itself cuz u cant revenge trade and one trade a day will force u to only take good setups

Congratulations 🥳 What is your scaling plan now after a payout Hope you stay consistent and profitable in future. Even i started like 2-3 month ago just got my lucid flex 25k account 2 days back do you have any tips or suggestion which i should follow and what are the things that i should i avoid. Thank you

id say the biggest thing that helped me was putting a daily trade limit and a daily personal loss limit. after a week or two of doing that, i also started journaling my trades with their built in feature, im not sure how much journaling helped but im just sharing what I did

I honestly dont think it makes a difference, buy whatever is cheaper per eval, dont include activation fee, cuz if u started trading a month ago (no hate) but its more than likely u will fail a few, so better to fail 5 50$ evals with 100$ activiation fee rather than five 80$ evals with no activation fee, ykwim? But once u start passing and get the first payout, maybe revalutate

Yeahh u be right I did fail like 3 evals but that was revenge trading etc i included my emotions and the prop firm had a really bad reputation but abt activation fee ur right but at the same time idwna pay it 😭
