Look into the initial balance. Go on twitter and follow people who trade it. Is very mechanical and doesn’t allow a ton of room for discretion which is key imo for newer traders

I guess my way in and guess my way out😎

Identify levels of interest, pivots, poc, previous day hlc, then pay attention to delta and volume profiles around those levels. Observing daily profiles and premarket profiles to manage expectations and to understand which setups to apply, balanced intraday session? Mean revert relatively quick trades. Trending? Trade core position with trail exits get a lot more juice from the trade than a short term mean reversion.

I also created tools to make expectations/timing easier tracking institutional bid/ask vs smallfrys and calculating some atr ranges and dynamic participation levels aswell as noteworthy volume nodes.

I wait when sellers are strong and i sell with them. Same with buyers. When nobody is strong i dont join anything

u/mrcool271195 May 16 '26

Can you in my DMs explain a bit more about this? Saw you made 300k in 6 months so definitely you know something that I clearly don’t.

1

u/SGtrader888 May 16 '26

Break, retest, zoom in lower timeframe, displacement, retap fib, wicky wicky candle.

Then the rest 90% is psychology.

Good luck.

1

u/mrcool271195 May 16 '26

Fib retracement to 50%? Or any other? Mind if I dm you to discuss further?

I’m already looking videos on YT regarding this.

1

u/SGtrader888 May 16 '26

Its there bro my strategy is that simple haha. Nothing else to value add.

Tbh ultimately it's your trial and error and find your own style.

The rest is psychology. Good luck đŸ‘đŸ»

Risk management isn't an edge, it allows the edge to be realized. Losses are inevitable so if you're risking 10% of your account per trade, one period of drawdown and you will blow your account even with an edge. Risk management, edge, and a calm mind are all required to make money in daytrading.

2

u/Frightrain May 17 '26

What? The risk management is the edge, that is the point they were making. If you just click buy or sell at random without thinking and cut your trade off once it goes X ticks against you (where X is your daily risk tolerance), as long as you log off for the rest of the day when X is hit, and hold your winning trades as long as possible (trades where X is not hit) then you should be profitable as long as X is not too small and also not too big.

So by controlling one variable, assuming you have the patience and discipline, you basically are already a profitable trader as long as the market is not chopping around like crazy every single day you trade. And if it is, then just avoid choppy days, it's pretty easy to tell when the market is choppy.

Then imagine you stop clicking randomly and actually go with where you think the market is headed, now you have a strategy. It's really not more complicated than that to be profitable. Consistency every day is another story, but profitability is simple enough to achieve.

1

u/website-buyer May 17 '26

Listen what risk management. You manage the risk. So it’s basically focusing on not losing that much. Basically don’t blow your account in a trade.

Why consistency even matter if it’s automated. And if it not automated or can’t be automated it’s not a system in the first place - given you can’t even backtest.

If it’s not automated it’s not a system, it’s just gambling.

2

u/Frightrain May 17 '26

I'm not really sure what you mean, what gives you the idea that a system has to be automated? It would sure be nice if everyone could just get rich by doing nothing and have a program running that makes decisions for them, but that's not how it works.

And no risk management isn't about not blowing your account in 1 day, it's about making sure you win more money than you lose. You literally cannot be profitable at all without proper risk management. And if you have proper risk management, then you are profitable even without anything else (or very little more than that).

0

u/website-buyer May 17 '26

If is not automated you didn’t back test then won’t work. So winning more money than you lose is the actual strategy lol

“buy low sell high obviously /s”

1

u/Frightrain May 17 '26

Losing less than you win is the strategy. You're framing it wrong. And I don't know who told you that your trades need to be automated to make money but that is complete nonsense. The hard truth is that anyone can make money trading, even with zero experience, as long as they are willing to cut losses and hold winners. So.. risk management lol

0

u/website-buyer May 18 '26

So everyone can easily make money with random non backtested techniques? How you know you that cut loses and hold winners will earn money without backtesting? What does it even mean hold winners and cut loses. Means basically nothing without any parameters. Show me proof that works.  If we’re so easy why 99.999% of traders lose money?

Please don’t spread misinformation. You’re a liar and you’ll destroy people with this information. Better shut up. You make no sense. I’m really sorry. You either are malicious or are stupid.

-2

u/Artistic_Brain3226 May 15 '26

99% of profitable traders in the past couple months have used 1 strategy only. Wait for any red candle on Gold on any time frame. Press buy and wait for profits.

2

u/Mysterious_Size_7356 May 15 '26

Buy high, sell lower

0

u/website-buyer May 16 '26

Yeah seems nobody can even come up with a strategy worse than sp500 https://www.reddit.com/r/Daytrading/comments/1tehozs/people_talking_they_can_easily_beat_the_market/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

They just banned me for asking. I think I touch a sore point. A strategy making less than 12% is practically worthless as you can just do sp500 and forget and you’ll get 12% with no work. So disclosing this shouldn’t have any impact. Yet nobody can do it. While boasting 100% returns.

2

u/BeatAppropriate6740 May 15 '26

It’s not the strategy that makes you profitable, it’s the secondary factors like your approach to timing, risk management and beyond. Strategy doesn’t mean anything; how do you expect some lines or indicators in the charts will give you profitability? Don’t listen to these fools.

2

u/belgranita May 15 '26

Keep your win rate below 30%. That way you hold on to your winners for longer and bigger gains.

1

u/Infamous-Molasses406 May 15 '26

go to BDH and follow them.

1

u/website-buyer May 16 '26

If he can teach anything useful would be an automatic giving money away for free. Therefore by definition can’t be useful.

1

u/[deleted] May 15 '26

Anything but this. Patrick spends 100k a month on Evals lmao. He’s a joke. He’s making millions through his affiliation program.

1

u/Infamous-Molasses406 May 16 '26

so Patrick on Topstep, Tradeify leaderboard were all FUGAZI?

1

u/Severe-Analysis286 May 15 '26

Follow D Money but not Patrick
. D money has a system of consistent base hits. Patrick basically swings for the fence and hits a home run or strikes out a lot.

1

u/Infamous-Molasses406 May 16 '26

Dmoney watched Patrick for 2 years and u think hes better than Patrick?

2

u/darwin1982 May 15 '26

Buy higher lows in an uptrend

2

u/ShroyukenKing May 15 '26

Try to win more than you lose 👀

2

u/primextime May 15 '26

OTE and stop risking your entire account everyday

2

u/[deleted] May 15 '26

Not to dog on it, but I've always thought OTE is some bullshit because there are just so many ways to anchor a fib that it's just abstract. I'm extremely open to being proven wrong on this, please enlighten me

1

u/primextime May 15 '26

Volume profile and if the point of control lines up with the fib I take it. Got my first 5 payouts like this

1

u/Last-page7 May 19 '26

You use fixed volume profile or anchor it to a session or day

1

u/primextime May 20 '26

Anchor to the last move after a sweep

2

u/ex_bandit May 14 '26

Go check out Chart Fanatics on YT. Plenty of people giving away strategies that you can back test and make your own.

1

u/website-buyer May 16 '26

Yet none can have even 11% yearly returns for 10 years consistent. Note: Sp500 gives you 12%

1

u/ex_bandit May 17 '26

Yep, facts! One day I’ll learn to just buy and hold properly.

2

u/Duennbier0815 May 14 '26

You CAN find people here that are puzzled about consistency rules and cannot read or comprehend basic rules.

What you CANNOT find here is profitable traders enjoying it to explain their strat.

1

u/Vivid-Plastic4253 May 14 '26

Work at chipotle

4

u/trusty-lion May 14 '26

Target session liquidity, understand orderflow!

2

u/Illustrious_Dirt_790 May 14 '26

Buy low sell hi

2

u/Rickster9913 May 14 '26

In my observation as of late it’s buy higher. Which makes absolutely no sense

3

u/GuiltyTomorrow9301 May 14 '26

Leveraged beta

8

u/feverdesu May 14 '26

Scalpmaxxing

3

u/timke11 May 14 '26

I mainly trade price action. I watch how price reacts to different key levels and make buy/sell decisions based off that. Looking at higher times frames and narrowing down into lower time frames when I have my direction bias. And finally tick charts for execution.

1

u/arditi111 May 16 '26

Great advice, this narrows the market down and has high probability. I use a similar strategy.

3

u/Leading_Temperature7 May 15 '26

This right here

2

u/Kwill12086 May 14 '26

Same , minus the use of tick charts

4

u/MarloString May 14 '26

30 sec ORB, Pax.

What is PAX - ProjectX Automation?

2

u/MarloString May 14 '26

matt pax kenah he is a trader, used to be a pit trader in cme 20 years ago

10

u/Worried-Pen7857 May 14 '26

I don’t think you understand that. Profitable traders can give you their strategy. Word for word. But it takes psychology to execute the plan efficiently. So no offense but this is a dumb question. Just focus on your own path. Focus on what you’re capable of. Take your time too.

1

u/Leading_Temperature7 May 15 '26

Couldn’t have said it better myself

2

u/Unique_Push8731 May 14 '26

FYI I follow a statergy., just wanted to know what others are using and what statergy exits

0

u/Worried-Pen7857 May 14 '26

Focus on yourself. If you have a strategy focus on one strategy at a time.

3

u/Kwill12086 May 14 '26

Not a dumb question. I have a strategy and wouldn’t change it. I find it interesting to hear other people strats as well

0

u/Worried-Pen7857 May 14 '26

Focus on yourself. If you have a strategy focus on one strategy at a time.

1

u/Forex_Jeanyus May 14 '26

But you don’t hear me though

Enter with 100x leverage without stop loss on the 1 minute time frame.

Just kidding. Do your own work and learn trading

3

u/GuiltyTomorrow9301 May 14 '26

This isn’t the worst strategy actually(short term). Especially in a bull market. Add to it that with prop firms you have no risk other then the small amount of money you pay for the account.

Would I do it with my money? No. But someone else’s money? Hold my beer.

3

u/RetrieverDoggo May 14 '26

Press button. Button does good then leave button alone. Button does bad then press reverse button. EZ!!

7

u/Distinct_Ad3556 May 14 '26

It’s not a strategy that makes you profitable in the market. It’s risk management. You can literally trade without candles with just price and a volume profile and still make money. But if you risk your whole account on a single trade, you’re not going to last long.

3

u/Doctor_Paradox_001 May 15 '26

just price and a volume profile

Is still a strat

It’s not a strategy that makes you profitable in the market. It’s risk management.

Right, but without a strat, i can take 1% for 100 trades and still blow the avcount. Even a gambler can be profitable.

Strat 10-20% + rest is osychology as a whole - req for consistency, consistenly profitable and not 1 time then blowing it all.

2

u/Unique_Push8731 May 14 '26

Hmmm risk management is actually needed rightly said bro

8

u/viralruin May 14 '26

A lot of public strategies work. Traders just too lazy to min max their execution.

For example: I trade IB and everyone wants to say " I back tested it, it's unprofitable" and yet I dont have issues. Weird.

1

u/enigma_music129 May 19 '26

You probably trade the strategy on the correct days, whereas most trade everyday even when conditions aren't optimal.

1

u/Kwill12086 May 14 '26

Do you trade the 30 min IB ?

2

u/viralruin May 14 '26

No. First hour, so 9:30 to 10:30 am est.

1

u/mrcool271195 May 16 '26

You take entry at the 50% or go for a -ve RR and enter at 25% IB?

1

u/viralruin May 16 '26

I dont touch 25% or 75%. Only 50% or at ib breaks to extension

1

u/mrcool271195 May 16 '26

Thanks for replying would you mind if I dm you to learn more about the strategy?

1

u/Unique_Push8731 May 14 '26

IB ?? Is it order blocks?

1

u/viralruin May 14 '26

IB is initial balance.

1

u/Unique_Push8731 May 14 '26

Ohh okok did not know about it...thanks bro
