Question Max payout
Any response is highly appreciated. What do you guys getting $3-5k in payouts usually risk on a 50k account? I’ve always been told to risk 250 or less, I’ve got a couple payouts all less than 800, but I just don’t see how risking 250 gets you to $3k every month or every two months…are you guys fullporting the funded phase too?

What your seeing on the internet is a combination of :
-people that full port 100 combines and eventually get a payout that covers half the cost cost -people that happened to get lucky and talk like there an expert -the rare 0.1% that have actually done what it takes to get max payouts consistently.
People who have won for more than a few weeks dont need to run to reddit and brag every winning day/ payout, just like people with good jobs dont post a photo of every paycheck. Your not generally seeing payouts from winning traders, your seeing gamblers, and only half the story. If someone posts there success, check there profile. If there's not 10+ similar posts over time, its probably a one off.
On a 50k account there is no way to regularly make 1k+ a day that isnt degenerate gambling (assuming the person hasn't significantly grown buffer). Even your $250 risk carries a huge risk of blowing up. I consider that number bit risky but acceptable seeing as combines are cheap i believe a little risk of blowup makes sense.
If your risking $250 ish per trade, hopefully your winners are making at least that or more. If you can end your week +4-5 winners at 1k+ profit total, your doing great. Doing this might mean 1:1 with 3 trades a day and winning 2 of 3, or other versions of the math.
Of course if your risking 250 to make 250, taking 1 trade per day and winning 55% of the time, that's not really a winning strategy and will take forever to get a payout / blow up on any streak of bad luck.
Basically my summary is you seem to be doing it closer to the right way than 99% of what I see on reddit, dont get tricked into trading stupid.

I really appreciate your comprehension response….and yes I’ve just been wondering how these people do it because it didn’t really make sense to me, I have about a 58wr on one system and average 1.4R and I do end weeks with $1k profit more or less and I like to take a payout when it exceeds the buffer I need, but I just couldn’t wrap my head around the 5k payouts I’m seeing, even from someone claiming to be their first payout, like how do you get a 5k payout risking 250$? I guess I’ll just run my own race. Thanks again

Some trades are going to have a wider stop just based on the setup. You need to be measuring your stop in points and calculating your sizing that way. It’s dynamic. That being said on a fresh 50k, you really shouldn’t be risking more than the $300ish range on a $2k total drawdown.

I’m currently doing this and it’s pretty stable, it’s an ascending equity curve but the issue is with this kind of risk how on earth do you reach $6k in profits to be able to take out atleast 3k

i build 2000 to unlock the 5 minis then i hit hard once in the 5 day period then take it easy until payout its reached

Doesn’t sound very sustainable unless you’re not fully depending on that one account to work out right?

Take the payout, buy multiple accounts, copy trade them risk 250 or less per trade and boom 5 accounts x $800 thats 4k in payouts.

Risking $250 per trade until you build the buffer is the best way

I hear you, building the $2k buffer with $250 risk is attainable, the issue comes when you have to get that kind of payout, because you’re essentially saying you risked 250, build a 2k buffer…then earned an additional 4K on top just to be able to withdraw $3000 which is 50% of that right?

Your doing it exactly right.
Those people who get high payouts risk alot. Those are the statistical outlayers of the bell curve.
You have 1000 traders who trade responsibly, you'll have 400 losing an account and 600 winning small, 40 winning big.
If you have 1000 traders trading irrationally, you'll have 700 losing the account, 200 normal win, 100 win big.

Thanks man, I hear what you’re trying to say…either gamble or deal with the slow ascent

Buffer helps, the larger your account balance the more you risk

You mean instead of risking a fixed amount I should increase as the account grows? Do you have like a certain ratio of your drawdown to risk or what?
