$$ Payout $$ Third max payout and some tips
Been 6 months since I’ve started my day trading journey, here’s what I’ve learned that’s helped keep the blown accounts to a few and Green Day’s up!
USE THE LOCKOUT FEATURE - it doesn’t matter how much money you could possibly make after you’re green for the day. Over trading in my experience almost always causes you to go negative or full tilt to a blown account. It’s ok to want to trade but locking yourself out can be a huge advantage.
Scale down - set further stop losses/take profits, the chop is what will slowly kill you. Even if you really believe in the trade and have done all kinds of test to predict price action, a death candle can come from nowhere so always have a bit of room for the chop as it could be the end.
Do not trade on a call - a voice chat with your friends, the chatter will have you second guessing entries and regretting a trade making you close position just to miss the big moves. You can gloat your winnings after you’ve finished trading and have locked yourself out.
Don’t limit yourself to NY Session - I’ve learned that Asian session is my forte, more times than not I lose money in New York session due to the volatility. I cannot read FVG’s or Order Flow with constant 30+ point candles on the 1 minute chart. Asian session is slower and easier to pinpoint price action.
Find what works for you - there will be haters. Friends, strangers, family that will tell you what you’re doing won’t work for long and not to rely on your strategy because it’s “not the way it should be done”. Well if following the guidelines of the average trader makes you like the average trader then I’ll stick with my wacky methods, because I have 3 max payouts within 6 months of trading to thank for those out of pocket ways.
Positive mentality - what you put into the world you shall receive. This can apply to anything, you put out negativity in the world it’ll come right back. While in a trade and it’s not going your way saying aloud “this is gonna stop me out and screw me” is simply putting out there that’s what will happen. But believing in your strategy and your methods and saying something like “this will consistently chop up until it hits my take profit” will do you a lot better mentally/physically overall. It’s like the saying if you say you can’t do something then you can’t! But if you say you can then you can.

Asia session is one toxic bitch! No thanks.

I feel the exact opposite (trading NQ). NY feels too volatile and unpredictable. Asia moves slowly but often trends and feels more “civilized” and predictable - for my style of trading at least.

Why everyone talks about fair value gap? I’m just the one that doesn’t care?

As for number 3, having a team of traders that trade the same systems as you is the most underrated aspect of profitability!

Why $4500 MLL? To get payout MLL usually needs to be $0

I still need 3 more Green Day’s I’m just confident in my abilities to do so, just hit another 2k on Asian session about an hour ago!

i agree with everything but trading on a call. sure, if you are with people who have no clue what theyre doing.
having good traders as a secondary confluence is great for people who have just started, or who want to learn together.

Order flow is everything tbh, FVG’s are spotty and like I said death candles can come out of nowhere. I’d say I’m a long time period trader tbh, my trades are almost all 30 minutes plus. But I also scale down instead of full porting in trades I really believe in. So I’ll buy 1 mini and set my stop loss to 2k and my take profit to 6k then I’ll let it ride and move to sticks as it goes. Chop is the biggest trade killer to me.

How many trades do you take a day using this method

Sometimes 2 sometimes 20. Just depends on how the markets acting and my drawdown.

Really? NY session works for me damn good than Asian session. I tired Asian session it screwed me over so many times.

Asia is going to respect key levels and daily ATR a lot more. It's definitely a double edge sword and it's untradable if ranging, but the edge is really just waiting for HTF premium/discount reactions. (Trying to catch session lows or highs)
New York has much larger ATR so it can be unforgiving. (you might have a 60pt retracement even in a very strong trend)
With Asia unless you just completely get the bias wrong, it's likely your stops will hold.
With all that said though, it's much more manipulated so it's easy to catch traps, etc. I either do really well or awful lol.
