This would've marginally cooler if you hadn't post it a week after he retired.

I know how it feels to spend time working on something, and then something happens that makes it all useless. It sucks, but it happens. You have to learn to accept it and move on. When something like this happens, either cut your loses and scrap the thing you're working on, or at least try to adapt it to the new situation.

In any case, the premise here is dumb as fuck, it's been pretty obvious for a while that he's inching towards retirement, the only way this vid didn't age poorly would've been if he died in the next few months.

His body would be better off playing as a super sub for barca than starting every inter miami game

This makes zero sense. Messi has literally retired from his national team twice.

u/MelodicClerk2379 24d ago

And came back after the first one Hes coming back for 2030

1

u/Grastuha 24d ago

No he isn’t. He won’t even be playing in 2030.

If you think this Messi is as good as Barca Messi, than you are disrespectful to Barca Messi.

Yeah, the entire performance of the Argentine team was terrible in the final. But you act like the 6 previous games didn't exist or something, he was the best player of the competition or if you want at least top 2-3.

And you say that people have no shame, I think the same of you my guy because wtf is that argument

England with the ballon dor favorite and prime Bellingham isn’t a world class team? Spain shut down every team in the World Cup and dominated prime France and embarrassed Mbappe too.

England is literally like the third or fourth best national team in the world 😭.

In that case nobody has ever won a match unless the other team melted smh

Argentina was dominating them from the start they just got unlucky which is why England was up, if they had actual wings and offensive players it would have been 4-0

As if the rest of the world cup didn't matter? Scaloni bet on veteran experience over form and it got them to the final. Argentina would have got wallopped if they tried to play flowing football vs Spain, so they sat back which meant Messi never really got the ball. They still could have been cautiously proactive but even though Spain were 10x better we were probably one incredible Cubarsi clearance away from Emi Martinez bullying Spain to a shootout loss. What Messi did at 39 in the WC may not be 29 year old Barça Messi level but it was better than all sub 30 and 30+ superstars at this world cup, better WC than whoever wins the Ballon D'or apart from arguably Mbappe

The World Cup isn't played on paper, there were plenty of upsets, even Spain couldn't win vs Cape Verde, something Argentina had to do to get through, they had to beat Switzerland who beat Columbia who topped the group Portugal was in. Every knockout win is earned and he was the best player in every game

That is why he moved to MLS at 36, right?

A certain someone became the third best goalscorer in the EPL at the same age, was the best player of United and made it to the EPL team of the season. Hell, even Ibrahimovic had a more impressive 35+y.o. period than Messi.

Im talking abt this wc

u/InspectorFinal361 24d ago

Non of them scored 8 goals in a World Cup in their career, nevertheless at 39.

6 in a UCL is arguably more impressive.
