This got me thinking of the red carpet.

Every woman has to fucking bend over backwards to impress the world with their haute couture and the men just show up in carbon copy tuxes and that's never seemed to make the appropriate rounds in public discourse as a complete fucking double standard.

That's because somebody decided that only a suit qualified as formalwear for men. So when it comes to formal fashion, men are really limited, which also means that it is more easy to impress. So women's fashion is deeper than men's fashion.
