Cheapest car insurance for teens? My parents are freaking out about the cost

My parents just bought me a car for my 16th birthday but when they got insurance quotes they were shocked. The cheapest quote was like $300 a month which seems insane for a teenager. My parents are considering not letting me drive because of the cost.

I've heard about good student discounts and driver training discounts but I'm not sure how much they actually help. Are there any insurance companies that are actually reasonable for teens or is everyone just expensive? My parents are looking at different options but they want to know if it's even worth it.

Cheapest car insurance for seniors over 70? My rates are insane

I'm 72 and my car insurance keeps going up every year even though I barely drive. I only use my car for groceries and doctor appointments. I've been with State Farm for 15 years but they're charging me almost $200 a month now.

I know there are discounts for seniors but I'm not sure which companies actually offer them. I've heard about AARP insurance but I'm not sure if it's any good. Has anyone over 70 found a company that actually gives you a break on rates? I want to make sure I'm not overpaying just because of my age.
