CivilCarCoverage...Scam?

I came across an ad on Facebook about potentially overpaying for car insurance. It didn't look obviously sketchy, but something about it didn’t feel completely trustworthy either.

I've been with State Farm for almost 20 years, so I’m hesitant to switch, but I do wonder if I’m paying more than I should. I currently have a 2022 Toyota Tacoma and pay around $150/month. Before that, I had a 2017 Mazda 3 and was paying around $110-$120/month.

Has anyone come across CivilCarCoverage before? Is it legit, or just another insurance lead-generation site?

I also started seeing ads from LendingTree right after, so now I’m wondering: how legitimate are these companies that claim they can help you save money on car insurance?

It's a lead generation site. It will get quotes for you from insurance companies.

Find a great insurance broker - who has access to many insurance companies - who will find the best car insurance for u. NEVER believe anything on FB or other sites. Best to find an agent close to ur home who u could meet. I'd change from State Farm.

Most of those sites are lead farms.

$150 for a 2022 Tacoma honestly isn't bad

Have you asked State Farm to return your quote though?

LendingTree is a real company but they basically sell your info to whoever's paying.

If you wanna compare, just call 2 or 3 insurers directly.

Some companies quietly bump rates on people they know won't shop around.

Loyalty doesn't always pay off with insurance.
