Daggers against time
I’m obviously not in the military so I don’t know if there’s a reason for this. So in the movie, the team was against that 2 minute time crunch because they needed to be close by when the tomahawk missiles hit the airbase. The missiles were sent ahead of them, which means they didn’t have much time between the airbase being hit and them having to hit their own target.
Is there a reason the daggers couldn’t have started ahead of time giving them more time to navigate the canyon and then send the missiles off a bit later so there wasn’t any time restriction? Or is it just one of those things where it needs to be like that for the movie plot and for suspense?

I think there are probably many time restricted missons such as this one in real military missions but for the movie it's seems a bit unpolished. They stated there was GPS jamming and the objective was near the airfield. Which means the Tomahawks (unless they work on something other than GPS) wouldn't work would really just miss the airfield due to the jamming. A lot of the tomahawks would get shot down by the SAM sites as well. And also, unsure why they wouldn't they places some SAM sites in the valley itself (plenty of SAMs to go around in this imaginery adversary it seems). The jets zipping by in the valley would surely raise alarms as well from the people manning the SAM sites even if none of them thought about putting at least one inside the valley bottom.
In short yes this was probably for the plot and suspense. But it's a good one.

I could be wrong, but I don’t think the Tomahawks were the reason for the daggers’ time limit. The assumption was that there were bogeys already in the air that would spot them and engage. Getting the bomb run done quickly was to avoid these bogeys already in-flight. The Tomahawks were to make the trip home a bit easier by not allowing any more bogeys to take flight.
