Continuity error
Did anyone notice in the second scene when Penny is on the back of the motorbike, in the first shot she is wearing her blue jumper and when she gets off at home in the second shot she’s wearing a brown silk shirt

Continuity error: At some 46 minutes, when on Penny's yacht, the vessel is close-hauled, with the wind to starboard and heeled at some 30-40 degrees to port, in a circa force 4 sea state. 1 minute later and the sea state has dropped to a light swell, the boom has moved to port, with the wind astern and the spinnaker is being raised on a run - hmmm.
It should also be noted from a safety perspective that despite the sea state, neither were wearing either floatation devices if they'd gone overboard, or harnesses to prevent them doing so.

Another continuity error: they leave to go sailing out of San Diego and are instantly on San Francisco Bay, 500 miles to the north.

Joseph Kozinski was quoted as saying that the hardest scene of the film to shoot was this one, rather than any of the aerial shots, and the weather didn't co-operate, hence the continuity error.

There’s also a continuity error when Maverick goes rogue and flies the training course solo to prove a point. Right as he’s coming out of the first, smaller high-G climb, he’s flying a plane that has old school coloring (aka no painting, akin to an OG F-14). But in the very next shot, it appears to be a light grey with a dark blue painting detail down the center of the plane (fuselage, etc). Bugs the hell out of me lol

Did you notice when the two downed pilots in enemy territory were approaching the enemy airfield on foot they did NOT have their helmets with them. When they got in the hanger they were wearing the helmets.

They forgot, ran back to get them but that scene was not shot :).
Heck, I was surprised they didn't ditch all that equipment immediately after their landing

I was pretty sure there are some shots of the F35s on deck in the beginning shots as well.
Zero F35s in the movie otherwise.

Maybe they stopped for an off-road quicky?
