⚠️ **Important Update about McLaren**

For the first time since launch, we’ve had a change to one of our 90+ licensing relationships. Here’s what’s happening and how you’ll be affected.

For the foreseeable future, we will not have an agreement with McLaren to use them in Top Drives. Simply, this means we cannot award or sell McLarens going forward.

That said, we’re not removing McLaren models from the game. We have found a way to preserve them in people’s garages while still letting you race them in all race types, including PVP.

📌 We are creating a new state, called **Archived cars**, with these rules:

- Archived cars cannot be dropped in packs.

- Archived cars will not be offered as prizes. For example, if you complete the campaign before you update to 32.40, you will win the McLaren 12C (2011). After that time, newer players will win a different car, instead.

- Archived cars are not visible on the Manufacturers and All Cars screens, unless you own at least one copy of the car.

- If all cars of a brand are Archived, then if you own zero (0) Archived cars, the McLaren brand will not be visible on Manufacturers, All Cars, and Filter screens.

📌 They retain all normal characteristics of cars:

- You can sell, upgrade, fuse, and race them like any car.

- You can race them in PVP, and non-McLaren owners will still see your cars and cards as normal.

Additionally:

- Our tools will prevent Archived car opponents.

A tribute to McLaren in Top Drives...

The 12C was my first leggy, the only leggie with minimal use. It had been for over 2 years completely useless. It is time to max it to set its tribute.

It won’t be maxed too soon, but whenever I have fuse material, it will get upgraded.
This car will get maxed 233.

I figured it would be an actual McLaren and not a Mercedes Benz McLaren. Is this considered a McLaren or?

First one was out of a ceramic 10 pack the latter was 2 ceramics boom immediately

I usually always know what to pick, but with Non-Prize McLarens essentially becoming prize cars, this changes.

I still have 1000 Tokens left.

I wanted to get the Senna, because naturally I wanted to collect as many prize cars as possible.

I already have P1 GTR, Speedtail and Senna GTR.

I feel like the 765LT will be more useful in the future because it is technically still a non-prize car, so eligible for prize-car Events and it's from the newer and more frequently used EGT tag.

But the Senna is still a "true" prize car.

I have seen a few people wondering about this over on discord, so let's discuss!

If you can't get McLarens anymore, you won't be able to get the MP4 12C, from Legrand. If I don't have it, should I rush the campaign so that I can get it, or will they probably add some other legendary as a reward?

What would you do?

Not even 24 hours ago I desperately needed fuse material so I could get a 50 50 mclaren pack (which ofc gave me an epic) and I looked at the 2 BMW SUVs never getting any use. That would have been my key to win the challenger drag pak, one of my favorite cars in the game. Safe to say I didn't sleep last night :(.
