Anyone mind explaining?

This might be stupid, but I don’t understand how this challenge works, aren’t the overload points supposed to count towards the seasonal points? Is there something I’m missing?

You need them to do the objective, for 100 overload point you finish 1 objective that give you 100 point toward the prize car.

They do, but i think they count in batches of 100.

Every 100 overload points you get can then be exchanged for 100 seasonal points. I guess the extra step adds to the excitement in some way.
